FERGUSON, Mo. Peering outside the office window of his tire shop, John Zisser grumbles about the pile of burnt rubble that lies on the opposite corner of a busy intersection.
If you come here to my shop and you see that, he says, as gestures out the window, is that going to give you a warm, fuzzy feeling like you want to come back here to do business?
Short answer: no, no its not, he says.
Zisser, 55, has owned and operated Zissers Tires in this city since 1987. He says the still-visible damage from the November protests that followed a grand jurys decision not to indict Ferguson officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of teenager Michael Brown is hurting property owners. His stores insurance is in the process of being cancelled after it was twice vandalized during the unrest, he says.
If I sold this place today, I could probably get $300,000 for it, if anyone is crazy enough to buy. Last year, the county said this lot was worth almost a million, he says. The value here is all going down. Theres about nine burnt-out buildings this way, he says, pointing. And about four more behind me.

On the one hand I feel bad for these people; on the other, I have to ask...”What were they thinking?”. The town’s been 67% black for a number of years now. Even a blind man could have seen the handwriting on the wall. White business and homeowners should have beat feet outa there at the last real property market top in 2006.
And its not like they haven’t had plenty of examples of how badly this turns out. Its happened/happening all across the country where, since Clinton changed the HUD rules, they’ve built up Section 8 apartments along every major thoroughfare in every suburb of every major metro area in the US. School districts ruined, single family home neighborhoods destroyed by plummeting house prices and then damned again when the homes are bought up to be rental properties, mostly of course, through the Section 8 program.
Nope,I got no sympathy for John Zisser and/or his white friends and relatives in Ferguson. We had to sell our $80,000.00 home outside Houston for $30,000.00 just to get out before being killed by the feral population of the Governement’s chosen people. Zisser and his ilk are nothing more than arrogant idiots with the “it can’t happen here” mentality, still clinging to the idea that “I’m from here”. Being “from here” doesn’t mean anything in a nation with an African government and no borders. Its really time whatever is left of a “thinking” white america woke up and smelled the burning tires all around them and figures out how to remove themselves from this mess. When the government’s against you because you’re white, you have no chance whatsoever. Think I’m wrong? Look at South Africa where thousands of white farmers are killed every year.
I doubt the city is any mood to lower the property valuation, and if it does, it'll increase the tax rate to make up the difference. The only way revenues go down is taxpayers leave.
The parasites will move further out once Ferguson in unlivable and do the same things in their next home. Liberalism is its own punishment.
Makes me wonder what would happen on a larger scale.
Not the fault of neighborhood crime by feral, drug-addled, government dependent ‘yutes’.
Not the fault of liberal policies that encourage and even reward such behavior.
Nope... its WHITEY’S fault.
They made their bed, now they can sleep in it. Any sane person will leave, even if it costs them their home. If you’re a cracker, you have no future in Ferguson.
The place is going to really have to jack up either assessments or rates because of the loss of all that revenue being pulled in from using the police and courts as revenue generators.
I was going to open a yoga studio and coffee shop.
So actually this tire shop owner got the crap end of the stick because his business DIDN’T get burned down.
The other burned out buildings got their insurance settled and they gone.
Hey, why not....it works everywhere else it's been tried! /sarc
How can Bush sleep at night?
**He says the still-visible damage from the November protests that followed a grand jurys decision not to indict Ferguson officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of teenager Michael Brown is hurting property owners.**
It’s the damage. IOW, why won’t they clean this up? Never mind the thugs that burned the town down.

Just give it more time. Today’s Detroit wasn’t build in a day.
They don’t care.
St. Louis will be off people’s vacation plans this summer, and as you did, they’ll take the long way around when travelling through.
Forget Warren Co., at one time the protestors had that area on their list because whitey lived there.
For four terms FDR blamed Hoover and the Republicans—got elected by large majority too. Blame works! Just ask Snowball (you have to have read Animal Farm for that). Bush was a fool—he didn’t defend himself from the MSM and Progressive attacks. But on his worst day he was better than Obama.
History repeats itself. Detroit. Newark. Plainfield. West side of Chicago, Benton Harbor, parts of DC. It took 40 years - generations - for many of these areas to have any sort of comeback. Many of these areas haven't come back at all.
Ferguson is the next Benton Harbor.
