Three days later, Miss Piggy appeared in an interview with MSNBC reporter Irin Carmon, with feminist activist Gloria Steinem also present. When Carmon asked Miss Piggy, “Are you pro-choice?” she responded, “I am pro – I am pro-everything.”
"Pro-life" is part of "pro-everything"...seems to me Miss Piggy is a comedic puppet, not a politician. And yes, I know it is contradictory to say "pro-everything" since dueling points of view are included therein.
I guess I'm trying to say is:

One could also take the “I’m pro-everything” answer to be an embracing of the GBLTXYZ agenda. “Do as thou will shall be the whole of the law”.
It’s telling that (s)he was not asked about obesity. What with Mama Michelle saying we need to MOVE and California looking at bans on soft drinks.
In June 2015, during an appearance at the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, Kermit was asked by Gloria Steinem if he was a feminist; Kermit said he was and Steinem suggested that we need more feminist frogs in Washington, which led Kermit to reveal that he's a member of the Amphibitarian party.

Apparently the actor(s) (don't know who's voicing Kermit since Jim Henson is gone) DO try to keep a non-partisan response to (often liberal slanted) political questions. It's likely that Henson's company (now owned by Disney) may even contractually yoke the actors taking political stances while voicing the characters.
It's good businesswise since no matter which party you advocate, there will be some who's business you lose.
I question the decision in permitting the Muppet characters to interact with Gloria Steinem at a politicized event.
