Everything that's coveted is eventually forgotten, and fancy resorts are no exception to this rule. Penn Hills Resort, located in the Poconos, was once the crowning glory of honeymoon destinations in the area, with commercials broadcast throughout Pennsylvania as well as in New York City and the entire Northeast. You might remember seeing these commercials; or maybe you once stayed at Penn Hills during its lifespan from 1944- 2009.
Below, check out some amazing photographs of what Penn Hills now looks like, followed by a thorough video tour of the abandoned property.

Haunting and beautiful. Must have been fabulous at one time...

Took the wife there once in the late eighties. WOW.... I had no idea it was even closed.
I think that’s where my wife and I went for our honeymoon, more than 50 years ago. I know it was a resort in the Pocono hills. My Mother-in-Law made the arrangements.
I worked on Ghost Adventures years ago for a season. Nothing beats Eastern State Pen.
My oldest brother and his first wife honeymooned there. I had no idea it closed.
Watching videos on local amusement parks that closed too. Willow Grove Park, where we spent many school picnics.
Took the wife there a couple weeks ago; the food and accommodations were a bit sub-par, and the wife didn’t like it much, but you can’t beat the rates.
I think that I saw that resort in a tv series, It was about demons. I can’t remember the name.
Compared to Buck Hill Inn, it’s just another roadside motel.
LOL
I like the ‘Babylon is fallen’ graffiti.
I found the curse words at the ‘Bible school’ just a teensy bit out of place, LOL.
