Writing in the journal Nature the week of Dec. 16, Yale's Pincelli Hull and colleagues from the Smithsonian Institution argue that modern extinction rates may be a poor measure of whether we're in the midst of a mass extinction event today -- something many scientists suspect may be happening. Instead, Hull and her co-authors contend, the best way to see a mass extinction in real time is by studying changes in species and ecosystems.
But the scientists claim that this would be the 6th or 7th mass extinction. So, it is normal and the Erf has survived it before.
I would love to witness the mass extinction of the liberal progressive movement, please let it occur in my lifetime.
Species either adapt or die out.
From the beginning of life on earth there have been untold number of species, we are actually fortunate most have gone extinct.
Of course, the very folks who push Darwinism in our schools also think extinction should stop and we should try to revert the earth’s ecology and climate to an earlier time...and freeze it in place!

Did somebody say CHANGE?!!!
A large part of the modern extinction is the deliberate and accidental introduction of species from around the world.
Think brown snakes eating bird eggs in the Pacific, mussels in the Great Lakes, the spread of local diseases from all over the world to other parts of the world.
The result is a loss of some species, especially specialists driven out by competition with generalists, species that lost their protective behaviors and many with very small ranges lost to development like agriculture.
However, they’re finding that invasive species become part of the ecosystem in most places, and as long as keystone species aren’t lost, the overall strength of the food web increases.
So kudzu is a plus when it gives local species something else to eat, but Asian beetles that kill 90% of the trees are bad.
I thought that what the Iran nuclear deal was about.
Do animals that taste good go extinct?
And most of this has already occurred.
Common sense is very close to extinction.
False Hope and Chains! Baraq Obama 2008
clearly no mass medai outlet released any such charts before the 2012 election. Were the mass of American not given to self EDUCATION to have noted the shifts between 2008 and 2012 we’d be living in a significantly different America at this point.
