It was the greatest moment of Pattons career and a welcome, day-late Christmas present for the surrounded heroes of Bastogne. The Americans went on to smash the Germans at the Bulge, one of the most significant victories of the war.
Desperate for a miracle amid the crisis, the Americans got what they needed from Patton, who stayed completely confident in himself, his troops and his policy of aggression. That confidence enabled him to take the big risks necessary for a miracle.
With the economic recovery going in fits and starts, you might want to do a little miracle working of your own. Not so surprisingly, Patton-style miracles are replicable, if you do the following:
Believe in yourself. Patton was famous for many instances of bad behavior, especially the notorious slapping of a wounded soldier. But he never lost faith in himself or his belief in aggressiveness as the path to success. If you believe in what youâre doing, keep doing it. If you donât believe in it, find something you can believe in. Quickly.
Dont worry about policy or business rules. Patton organized and trained his troops to handle something so difficult it was considered impossible, according to military doctrine. If youâre striving for a miracle, you canât afford to be constrained by your companyâs past.
Be aggressive. Take risks. Thereâs no way around this. Big success is for those who take big risks. Playing it safe may keep you in business, but it also squanders opportunities.

That illustrates the problem with people saying Trump is not a conservative - they haven’t objectively watched and listened to him. It’s like their mind is made up don’t confuse them with facts. Weird.
There’s no way anyone could watch Trump’s rallies, pressers, and media appearances, and rationally or coherently call him a liberal or democrat. No way. To do so is like Don Quixote imagining windmills to be giants - straw man logical fallacy.

It’s hard to compare Trump to anyone. He’s a phenomenon of his time. There may be more like him after him but few before.
Monty needed to be gigged often by Patton.
No, Patton would have never dodged the draft using foot bone spurs, which were never removed and must have magically disappeared.
Patton was an Olympic athlete, a designer, a poet, and a classic soldier.
Trump is not any of those things.
Well, I’m not vicious unless you are from the government and drive up to my house with guns drawn.
For the past eight years I have researched the Natural Born Citizen eligibility requirement in the U.S.Constitution. It is not a true citizenship but just an eligibility requirement to run for the Presidency.
Gov.George Romney (dad of Gov.Mitt Romney) was born in Mexico. However, he was never a Mexican citizen because Mexico has citizenship laws that specifically recognize only children born to Mexican citizens as being Mexican. And it doesn’t matter where else in the world, including the USA, where one is born.
But where one is born mattered to the lawyers hired by the Romney family. They told George he was a U.S. Citizen because his parents were, but he wasn’t eligible to be President because he was born elsewhere.
Nothing has changed. Born in Canada or born in Kenya, one is not eligible to be President of the USA.
Correct. Instead he is a self-made billionaire and an employer of approximately 10,000 men and women. As a builder he creates huge edifices.
Patton was not any of these things.
I can’t imagine Cruz would go through all this without looking at that and talking with people.
but i’m about as far from a constitutional scholar as there is, and if he can’t run, i’ll go with trump.
Trump does not go out of his way to start anything.
He does however respond those who attack him.
Neither Trump or Patton are/were politically correct.
Lol
Patton@bastogne is a Trumpster
Or Cruz
Just like me
It’s funny no?
LOL!
It is an honest question: Cruz has no executive experience and there are people claiming that his mother repudiated her U.S citizenship while in Canada. Both Ted and Heidi support the North American Union, which abolishes sovereignty of these three nations: Canada, Mexico, and U.S.A.
No, because Trump supported the enemy by contributing money to get Harry Reid an Nancy Pelosi elected. Patton, on the other, destroyed the enemy.
Yeah, Cruz birthers and tinfoil hatters have about zero influence with me.
“TRUMP is Patton”
Whoaaa,Rita! Slow your roll!
Trump has so far only talked the talk.
Patton walked the walk.
Cruz knew the entire Constitution by heart when he was just 13 years old. The best scholars have said he is eligible and refuted point by point the nonsense of those saying he isn’t. Justice Scalia supports Cruz and says he is the brightest clerk ever to serve at the Supreme Court.
Dr. Corsi, report to your office. stat
Nothing has changed. Born in Canada or born in Kenya, one is not eligible to be President of the USA...
Correct!! Thank you.
