The only tractor I ever rode was so long ago. At the time was too excited about just riding along with the driver than to consider exactly what make it might have been.

Not far from us, a new high going in - the vacant property along the side. One entrepreneur has taken it upon himself to place decades old, restored and freshly painted John Deere’s and various other models. Great job on the restoration and always look to see what new ones might suddenly appear.

My dad was a contractor and had a Ferguson tracker with a front-end loader bucket. He let me sit in the bucket once and raised it ten feet above the grand, giving me a little ride up there while my younger brother sat in Dad’s lap ... then reached over and pulled the dump lever. I hit the ground and almost got run over by the tractor. Hmmpf.

Collecting old tractors is a big hobby for some folks. We didn't have the Farmall as a collector's item though. My dad actually tried to use that piece of junk.

I ended up dismantling it as a training exercise in mechanics.
