Even if that were true, who here believes that Mrs. Cruz would be stupid enough to put that in writing and e-mail it to multiple individuals?
It does sound like something no intelligent person would put in writing, and she clearly is that. Maybe there was a vague directive to not be concerned “rumors which are spread by our competitors” or something like that, which staffers might have interpreted as pertaining to affairs.
People are terrible at keeping secrets, so if it exists, I can’t imagine someone will not find a reason to leak it.
