Wall-Mart .22 rimfire has been uncommon for three years now. When President Obama pushed for more infringements on the Second Amendment, starting in 2013, the demand for .22 rimfire skyrocketed. Instead of raising prices on the ammunition sufficiently to bring demand down to reasonable levels, manufacturers tried to keep prices stable to earn customer good will. It failed as a strategy. With the demand so high, less public entrepreneurs purchased all the .22 they could obtain, then offered it over the Internet, at gun shows, and other venues, at three to four times the price purchased. The producers stayed with their artificially low price policy, and the middlemen made money.

“What good is a 22lr. when the fascists take over?”
Ask the Mossad, or any Mafiosi you may know. Also touch base with any farmer, rancher, or trapper.
Haven’t seen any here Obama’s entire term. Only 50packs for the same price as 9mm
Keep Hoarding!!!
I remember $1/box for Stingers
Oh come on, don't get nit picky and all out spec ops on this thread............We're talking about limited quantities of .22 LR ammo which may now be available so leave it at that.........sheesh!
Never had any issues with CCI Mini-Mags. Squirrels do not like them. Never a dud round. Can’t say the same for Remington .22s.
Sub sonic, silencer............... :>)
I was at WallyWorld here in Garland a couple of weeks ago and the gun counter guy told me he had .22 in stock. Sold me some.
Then he told me he had 10 of those 525 count packages at home.
All that rimfire stuff is going somewhere :)
Paid 7 cents per round from Bass Pro Shops inc tax and shipping less 3rd Party link through discount site. Doesnt get much cheaper in California short of a very lucky Wally World score. Cheap Remington rounds, but my Dads old 1939 bolt action Remington doesn’t care much.
Yesterday evening while picking up some .45 and .223 I was talking with the guy working the sporting goods counter at the Walmart by me (33 miles away). I asked about not having seen .22 ammo on the shelves there in years now. He said they get in one case a month (10 boxes), and there’s a couple of the same guys every month who immediately buy it all up. They’re either hoarding it or reselling it. Really sucks for all the other people.
