Pastor G. Craig Lewis of EX-Ministries, which describes itself as an organization designed to expose false doctrines and other deceptive attacks against biblical Christianity, takes on the Cruz cult. It’s the same one that Rafael Cruz, Ted’s Pastor Dad preachers and is a celebrity in, The Seven Mountain Strategy.

Pastor Lewis lays out an excellent encapsulation of just who these people are, highlighting their belief that “the only way they can impact society for GOD is by penetrating the 7 cultural spheres (or mountains) of society.”

The 7 Mountains are Arts & Entertainment, Business, Education, Family, Government, Media and Religion.

He cites the earliest known appearance of the cult occurred in 1975 with an American preacher named Bill Bright, who created Campus Crusade. That organization is billed as an interdenominational advocacy for worldwide evangelism.

Lewis details that, as the legend goes, “Bill Bright and Loren Cunningham (another prominent Christian) were sitting down having lunch together when God simultaneously gave them both a message to give to one another — and that message essentially said that in order to impact any nation for Jesus Christ — they must impact the seven spheres (or mountains) of any society. It was this that lead to the creation of the “7 Mountain Strategy” ideology that we commonly see spreading in the Christian arena today.”

Lewis describes The 7 Mountains Strategy as the New World Order repackaged for Christian for Christian consumption, describing the ideology as both un-biblical and very deceptive.

This ideology teaches Christians that in order to influence any civilization for Christ, they must first infiltrate the different sectors of humanity and “take them over”.

Lewis notes that “Clearly the early apostles did not know about this doctrine considering the fact that they spent the majority of their time – Being Poor, Being Beaten, Being thrown in Jail, and Being Stoned.” He asks, “Does this sound like the apostles were “Dominating” any sectors of society?”

He goes on to point out the many ways that this heresy is not Christianity and in doing so, the reasons why Cruz supporters should be very concerned that they have a demon in their midst that they are holding up as a holy man.

This is the stuff that the Democrats would’ve played nonstop against a Cruz candidacy.

People seem to have forgotten the revolving door from private to public sector that was Goldman-Sachs. And Cruz is married to one.

My father was a pastor who didn’t believe in “wearing your Christianity on your sleeve.” Also warned me to be VERY careful of those who do.

Since Cruz wears his on both sleeves and makes such a point to make sure everyone knows how he “prays so much”, and his “awesome values”, blah blah I’ve become interested in what his religious beliefs truly are....and they are very, scary indeed.

I don’t know of any Cruz supporter who is holding him up to be a “Holy man” as you claim. Could you please name one?

“The 7 Mountains are Arts & Entertainment, Business, Education, Family, Government, Media and Religion.”

Seems to me that not too long ago I recall a man named Glenn Beck engaging in a very similar strategy.

I think I'll take the Biblical approach rather than man's approach, whether it be Lewis or Cruz or anyone else.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich (2 Cor 8:9).

Vacating our institutions to be commandeered by the devil and his entourage is exactly why we are in the mess we are in right now. That is exactly what this rebellion against the "establishment" is all about.

How was America founded? By "poor" Christians who stuck their head in the sand and didn't want to deal with the real world? Hardly. Many were relatively wealthy Christians engaged closely with the world around them and making a difference for Christ AND their surroundings.

Re-commandeering Arts & Entertainment, Business, Education, Family, Government, Media and Religion is exactly what we freedom-loving Christians need to do to reinstate the Constitution as the Law of the Land and bring about a rebirth of political, economic, and spiritual freedom in America.

Let it die in peace.

An important caveat here, as these people also claim Francis Shaeffer as their own. There is a starting point which is scriptural - that Christians are to be salt, to influence and to preserve the culture they are in. Francis Shaeffer and C. S. Lewis said as much, and they are restating scripture in doing so. And, by the by, Bill Bright and others did some very good work spreading the Gospel back in the day.

Where things get weird, and NOT scriptural, is where there is this jump to take over and fuse with government operations, wordly conflicts, and the transfer of material wealth. That is NOT a part of Christianity as perceived by the past two thousand years of Christian thought. That is new, and dovetails with neocon secular agendas. This is something to be VERY wary of.

It is very much NOT a part of mainstream, low church Protestant thought. The name of Evangelicals is dragged through the mud being associated with this bizarre and frankly carnal and aggressive doctrine. It is essentially a rudimentary doctrine of jihad, camouflaged as Christianity.

It would appear the Rick Wells (whoever he is or whatever he represents) does not know the meaning of the word “cult.”

It sounds almost as bad as Obama’s philo-Islamism. Ted Cruz fortunately isn’t going anywhere. Donald Trump will be our next president. And I hope that during the Trump administration the “natural born citizen” question is nailed down. Cruz was born in Canada to a Cuban and Canadian father and an American and Canadian mother. He is not a Natural Born Citizen and is not constitutionally qualified to run.

You know, you guys are winning. So why suddenly all this weird aluminum foil hat bats#!+? Has Donald begun to realize that he might actually win in November (NOT the plan, never really was) and have to serve? I mean fun’s fun, but spend four years in a reclaimed swamp living in that run down neo-classic dump in the eight years’ footsteps of low rent ghetto trash? I don’t think so!

I seriously believe that Ted Cruz is really a decent person. Before this past 6 months, he has been the only person with convictions and balls enough to publicly call Mitch McConnell a liar on the floor of the Senate, to consistently go against Boehner and who drew the contempt and nastiness of a couple of 8th grade snobs (McCain and Lindsey Graham).

He was admired on this board at one time. Now, some of you are just coming short of calling him a pedophile in your support for Trump.

I cant wait until this is over.

Disclaimer: I don’t give a rat’s arse who gets the nomination. They will get my vote regardless. The Hildebeast must not win.

What a God complex! Didn’t read article, mini paragraph is enough to know. What? Does your god put a stripe down ones back so you can tell, or would you have us believe you are all knowing? Get out of religion and get Jesus.

I looked into this 'Seven Mountain Strategy'.

It seems like something Christian conservatives should have been doing decades ago. It's something Christian conservatives were doing hundreds of years ago without calling it by that name.

Why would we not want to make a point of having Christian conservative ideas dominate in all aspects of society? Why would we want to give over the schools or the media or churches or business to secular hedonists and liberal multiculturalists?

The conservative mantra was focus on church, family, and business. Let the liberals take over the media and education, and just make sure that our children were home-schooled or sent to private Christian colleges and listened only to rightwing talk shows.

Well that didn't work out so well. The churches are going leftist and the colleges have turned out generations of secular liberals who have taken over the business community and government agencies who can now dictate much of how a family raises their children.

The Tea Party tried to take back the government, but the Tea Party is split between conservatives and libertarians with different agendas and priorities. Also, the establishment struck back and bought a lot of the Tea Party candidates with corporate lobbying dollars.

If the Seven Mountain Strategy is effected by true Christian conservatives then it should improve the situation in America.

If the Seven Mountain movement has been infiltrated by Goldman-Sachs and their evil minions, well then yes it will make things worse.

But if Goldman-Sachs has infiltrated the Seven Mountain Strategy, then they've probably infiltrated every conservative and every Christian movement and there is no hope of escape.

Then we just need to sit back and read our Kafka.

.... He's running as a candidate for President of the United States .... Not a candidate to become the Messianic incarnation of Jesus Christ.

.... I believe there is a bit of a difference.
