Isn’t it too late even for ballot access in a few states? The best they could hope for would be to split the vote, but they’re delusional if they think it’s going to split much off. Elites are not ever the majority, by definition, and they’re smaller and weaker than they would like to believe. It would end almost all the careers of those involved and that would be it for the Republican Party too, gone the way of the Whigs.

"WHO are the GOP office holders in those 31-33 states going to vote for? Establishment Romney?"

Not if he's not on their ballot in the fall; and Texas' door shuts tomorrow. Good luck with those overnight ballot petitions...

A little early for nonsense as this. Wait until the primaries are through. What side do you proffer?

If this scenario were possible, it would cause a revolution. A guy who only wins one state (Utah) would not be President long. Likely, he wouldn’t even get to swear his oath of office. Mass riots would seize Washington DC.

As often characterized by the left the Republican Party has become the party of tyranny. The American people are being put to the test. Many enemies determined and strong.

Nobody is going to vote for that phony Romney.

Romney/Cruz? Two never Trump peas in a pod. Do sore loser laws apply to VP slot also?

I do sense a never Trump coalition forming between the progressive Romney/Ryan wing of the GOP and tantruming Cruzers. This could get interesting.

Plain and simple, Romney will split the vote. He knows it. He would rather see Hillary win and have uniparty business as usual continue in DC. But Romney has zero chances of running third party and winning. And, as I said, he knows it. Hell, he couldn’t even win a two man race. He certainly won’t win a three way race splitting the Republican vote.

Ann Romney stopped by the Kilmeade & Friends studio to talk about her new book, “In This Together: My Story”, her struggle with MS, the 2016 GOP race and whether her husband will get into the GOP race.

NO...NO...a thousand times NO!!

errr...MAYBE??

Agreed. I think we should ignore all the asshats. Romney...and little Billy Kristol. They are just trying to keep the GOP in turmoil and try to blame Trump for it.

Ben Sasse is a total RINO at this point. Amazing how this people are Tea Party...and after a year in DC they are totally bought and paid for.

They fear Trump because he is truly going to change things...

Dear God, please keep this man safe...

Utah and Idaho are irrelevant. For this to be plausible, you have to come up with a state that he lost to Obama that he could take from Hillary, with Trump in the picture. Such a state does not exist. But yes, he could deny Trump the Presidency.

Mitt will not run—if he wanted the job—he would have entered the list of the 17 -— Unless he gets some good backing he will not run.

Smartest response I’ve seen! One thing is for sure, this cycle has exposed our elected posers and you are most certainly correct...

“The GOP clearly doesn’t represent the people, so no reason to keep them.”

I am personally torn whether the republican party, which does not represent me, nor my loved ones should exist going forward. Make no mistake, I could never vote for anyone out of the clown car (d’s).

My ire aside, I wish my children and grandchildren an opportunity of living here knowing their elected representatives consider them as citizens and their priority.

The days of punishing our citizens by tending to illegal invading masses has to end! Shutting down industries, allowing/shipping future generations job off shore, redistributing Americas wealth to the determent of yours and mine...well, it is not right, nor is it American.

Nothing, I repeat nothing, like America exists anywhere else on the face of the planet. In our country’s short time of existence, why is it we excelled beyond all previous society’s? It was most certainly based on freedom, freedom to fail and freedom to succeed.

I will close with this, the time is now to send the weak, the puny and the flaccid “hill inhabitants” back home, many with ill gotten gains!

Else, we...

Romney is fulfilling every horrible thing ever said about him. So much for his father’s legacy as well. The little turd who would thwart the will of millions of GOP voters for his Saudi bosses, will be remembered for nothing more.

Oh, he could...but it would mean the end of the GOP as a major political party. Trump supporters would understand this had the implicit blessing of the GOPee. The political fallout would be yuuuuuuge.

I don't know that Romney could withstand the barrage from Trump. I wouldn't assume he would win any states. If anything, he might enable Hilda to win a few states by splitting the vote. Anyone even tangentially connected would be committing political suicide.

The GOPee lost this round, period. They're finished as power brokers. To paraphrase Paul Manafort, the final nail has been pounded into the coffin. It's just a question of how long it takes for them to realize they're inside it.

They don't have the b@lls.
