It would really show the world how evil socialism is if the US would start dropping food like we did after WWII. I can’t remember details of the WWII drop but we did it because the people were starving. Anything to bring attn to what socialism really is.
Was it the Marshall Plan that was doing it? But then, it wasn’t the people’s fault. It’s always the government. So maybe we can start dropping food packages into Venezuela. However the government there is blaming America for their problems. And also Bush.
The food drop you’re speaking off was towards the end of the war in Europe. After Bernard Montgomerys disastrous “Operation Market Garden’’ in Holland in Sept. 1944 , the Germans blockaded the entire country and starved the Dutch people. As it became clear Germany was going to lose the war the Allies appealed to the Germans to allow food drops to the Dutch populace to avoid a catastrophe and put the German occupiers in a better light. Te Germans allowed the Allied air forces to air drop food to the Dutch people .

Even better would be to drop pallets of machine guns and ammunition all over the country. That would solve the food problem quicker than any other solution.
My wife is taking care of a gal, she was born in Germany.
