You ain’t see nuthin’ yet!
Where I live all residences receive recycling bins. There is a long list of things that one CANNOT put in the bins. Among those on the list is plastic!
The patients are running the asylum!
The ONLY items that are cost effective to recycle are metals, specifically aluminum.
They passed them out here about a year ago. Hubby called them and told them to come pick it up, we’re not sorting your garbage for you so you can make money. They did. Lol
TPTB here actually were considering banning GLASS from the recycling bins. The public outcry was strong to say the least.
Needless to say, the district backed off that plan. Only here would they expect you to wash your garbage, sort it, set it out on the street on specific days with a fine if the bin is out too long, and then start changing the acceptable materials in the bin.
