Pokémon Go players don’t dig up the ground. Souvenir hunters looking for Minie balls do, however.

Beat me to it. I think what’s happening is it is getting people that are best left in mom’s basement out in public and it is wreaking havoc on the rest of us and our infrastructure.

What is the matter with these people? Is there something mentally disturbing about “Pokemon GO”, kind of like steroids?

I have this sick feeling that I know which Presidential Candidate these idiots are going to choose. Do we now make the acronym LIV-PG?

It's not exactly a china shop.
Ohhhhh...you want them to buy something.

Dateline: Fairhaven, Mass. I know exactly where Fairhaven is. it lies directly across from New Bedford, Ma., which used to be the busiest whaling port in the world in it's heyday. The New Bedford Whaling Museum is also there, and I visited it back in 1980 when I lived on a 115 ft. yacht berthed at the Fairhaven Marina.

Does anyone know how this game works? I heard that it was akin to geocaching but there doesn’t seem to be any judgment or discretion as to where to place the artifacts. They’re gonna piss off the wrong people and get themselves banned!

Shoot them ... OK, just rap them up side the head with a two by four ... just to get their attention and then tell them nicely and without a hint of racism to “stop it”.

So far as I can figure (I’ve never played it, but heard people talking about it), the artifacts are digital. You have to capture them with your smartphone.
But it does seem that the designers of the game could have used better judgment in choosing where to put the digital artifacts.
It sounds as though the players could use better judgment in capturing them as well.
To: scrabblehack
If that’s so (and I don’t doubt it) it falls on the designers or engineers of the game not to put the hot spots in sensitive areas.
Players are going to go after them even if they’re in the poison-ivy ;’}
