A man in India spent two months swallowing knives What was the point?
"We were so nervous... a small mistake could have taken the patient's life. In my 20 years of practice, I have never seen anything like it."
Everybody was on edge. He could have blade to death.

Why 40?
Because 39 wouldn’t cut it.

I had been concerned that this place had become a pun thread desert.
This guy goes under the knife, and out come forty knives. Kind of like the parable of the talents, only different.
Imagine what he could he do with a few loaves and fishes.

How insane does a person have to be, to do something like this? What is he going to do now? I can’t even imagine!!!

There must be something special about India. If there are examples of the weirdest, sorriest, most disgusting, most depraved, just about any extreme you can think of, stories (as related by the UK Daily Mail, for lack of a better or worse source) - India provides them. (Sorry Africa, you can’t win everything).

Or swallow them whole. ;)
Seriously, who does this?
Never mind the forty knives, how many gallons of Pepto Bismol did he chug down?
According to the headline, his stomach was distended all the way to India.

The patient, a 42-year-old father of two, told CNN he's feeling much better. I expect knife-removal surgery has a very high patient satisfaction rate.
