Last month's Windows 7 update spent 20 hours at 0% progress on my machine. This is apparently a known Windows Update bug having to do with a bad algorithm for calculating interactions between patches, or something like that. There seem to be countless supposed solutions, but none that are definitive.

I got the exact same problem. Did you find a way to get the updates, or did you give up?
