The 25A doesn’t allow someone to just “fire” the President. There’s a bunch of hoops to jump through and ultimately if there’s still a battle, Congress decides, but the battle could still go to SCOTUS for original intent reading and application of the amendment which most certainly has to do with substantive incapacity, not political preference.
I must say,I didn’t know that was in there and I’m not sure it should be in there. I’d have to see if the body of the Constitution addresses Presidential “incapacity.” But addressing Presidential or any federal officer’s “incapacity” is an important issue (I’ve only seen things like “treason” or “misbehavior” as reasons for removal.)
