The Colin Powell vote was quite deliberate. In the extremely unlikely event that this election goes to the House, the House must pick from the top THREE electoral vote getters: Trump, Hillary, and now Powell.
These three faithless electors see Powell as a “reasonable” alternative, one the GOP House members might consider.
