Really? They found this out ALL BY THEMSELVES!!! Color me...completely unimpressed, and not just by the students, but the fact that the study seemed to assume that there wouldn’t be any zombie-killing.

Maybe that’d be OK in some big cities, but come out to the countryside pretty much anywhere, and there’s enough firepower to finish off an invading army, let alone a bunch of noisy deaders. Add to that the fact that tens of millions have watched various zombie movies and TV series, and know what to do. Oh, the zombies will have their effect, to be sure, but armed humanity will put them down for good in pretty short order. Even if national and state governments fall apart (and that could be the silver lining in this cloud), locals would organize around military personnel (current and former) who know how to fight in groups to great effect, how to take advantage of the weapons systems at hand and the terrain.
