those of us in the judeo-christian, biblical creationist tradition, feel that much of this supposed ‘amazing’ ancient technology, is simply the result of the dispersal at the tower of babel, into the various groups that became ancient civlizations.
These groups of people had the knowledge of this technology as part of the ‘original creation’ that God had given humans, handed down over the eons, but once dispersed and with the languages mixed, the tech abilities were bit by bit, lost.
so what we see in these ancient amazing abilities of these people is simply the usage of their original knowledge, which again, became lost down thru the ages as time passed and groups dispersed ever further.

I doubt their analysis of drill penetration speeds. I have seen plenty of modern drill holes that look quite similar.

It was Plato who referenced Atlantis (via Solon).
While working on my third book in an on going series about a two-headed turtle, I have been doing a lot of research into civilizations pre-flood. I came to the conclusion that moving large mutli-ton blocks of rocks were done with sound. The rocks were carved using sound to make the stone almost putty like so that it could be formed into shapes. At least that is my conclusion for this fiction novel.
I was surprised to hear on a podcast recently that my sound theory might actually have some basis. I find the whole topic interesting.
For this book, it is my contention that Mu was based in Sundaland. Migration from there spread westward and eastward. Atlantis was actually a far-flung colony of Mu. It was a civil war involving Atlantis versus the proto-Athenians (backed by Mu) that is referenced by Plato in Timaeus and Critias. (sic).
Personally, I believe that Earth had prior civilizations that were lost due to various catastrophes. The most recent revelations of Gobeckli Tepe and Gunung Padang (sic) point to this fact. Did we advance far enough to create flying machines and space travel? I don’t know about that, but it is not out of the realm of possibility. Did Ancient Aliens have a hand in all that we marvel today. No. Did aliens ever visit Earth and impart some knowledge. Could be possible.
SO the question is, how could the Egyptians drill holes using copper tools? If the stone were softened first, copper would not be an issue, otherwise diamond bits and machine tools would be needed.
As for lifting the blocks. Block and tackle and pulley would work for the one to two ton blocks, after that something else would be needed. Today we barely understand how sound and vibration works, but there has been some interesting work using sound for levitation. I could go on, but I think I will stop here.
That we do not know, however, we have proof that it was accomplished.

I’ve seen some pretty impressive drilling holes by the Native American Woodland Indians accomplished around the time of Christ. They were drilling pipes, necklaces, and weapons out of rock and have been excavated in this area often. Some of the drills have been identified but the hole drilling was labor intensive even though it was precise.
I’ve watched a lot of Brian Foerster’s videos on YouTube. The evidence of tool marks on the stones of many ancient monuments is there for anyone who cares to look.
Couple that with the sheer size, precision, and weight of many ancient megalithic structures, and it’s clear that someone in the distant past had more advanced technology than we do today.
There are those who think the account in Genesis 6, of fallen angels mating with human females and producing giants up to 12 and 15 feet tall, who possessed superhuman intelligence and technical knowledge. Google: “genesis 6 nephalim”.
The foundation blocks at Baalbeck are estimated to be 100,000 tons. Not only that, they are perfectly level and square, and you can't even fit a piece of paper between them.
We can't build something like that, even now.
