Wow WTF.

A drunk/high Warren Beaty and Fay Dunaway were given the wrong envelope or something and say LalaLand won Best Picture.

Once they are all on stage they say the actual winner is the gay Black movie, naturally.

Crazy.

I happened to stroll through another room where it was on tv, it looked like a big flustercuck.

That was truly WTF.

Holy hell. So best picture time, and Warren Beatty pauses a long time, then reads La La Land.

So all the LaLaLand people come up, like 30 or more, and start giving thank you speeches.

Then some guys with headphones start coming through the LaLaLand people, grabbing red envelopes from the people who are holding them.

Then someone says Moonlight won best picture, and no one believes it. Whaaaa?

Jimmy Kimmel says this is not a joke, Moonlight won best picture, and everyone is confused. But slowly the LaLaLand people get off the stage and the Moonlight people come up all confused, but happy, and the show suddenly ends.

Beatty gets back on mic and says his envelope said Emma Stone, La La Land.

So they gave him and Dunaway the wrong envelope???

Seems so.

And he was too high to fully realize it. Don’t smoke weed!

Very funny but imagine how devastated the Lalaland people were. “You won!! Oops no you didn’t.”

I hope all the presenters are sober next year.

Beatty’s last chance at a modicum of relevance. He’s probably insanely pissed that his last movie was seen by less people than will read this post.

By now it’s as clear as the day is long that the Oscars are nothing more than a televised PC pat-on-the-back party.

What they’ve become is pathetic. But since all liberals can do is destroy, not surprising.

What the Oscars >USED< to be: https://youtu.be/zEGSrc2BIao

Now, you have drunk/high/both Warren Beatty and black Brokeback Mountain winning.

I tried to read the description of “Moonlight”, but I realized it was another “Precious”: A movie 98% of the general public cannot identify with.

Oscar strategy: Bitch and complain and you’ll get what you want a year later. Last year it was “#OscarsSoWhite”, remember?

You mean you don’t identify with queer hoodrats? Something must be wrong with you!

I bet Jerry Sandusky would love it.

I’ve seen Mashersoursawhatever Ali (best supporting actor) in a couple of crappy TV shows. His real name is ERIC GILMORE. Now what’s wrong with that name? Cassius Clay, Lew Alcindor, Booby Moore.

Poor Denzel Washington, he’s the best actor of the bunch and he’s the only Black person who lost. ;d

>SUPPOSEDLY< he leans GOP. Do the math.

“You mean you don’t identify with queer hoodrats? Something must be wrong with you!”

Yeah...I’m very close minded. “thumbs up”

“I bet Jerry Sandusky would love it.”

Yep. And his son got busted for kiddie porn last week.

If this year's Oscar boycott was anything like this year's NFL "boycott", we can expect it will generate record numbers of people tuning in.

The 2017 Superbowl made billions and and was one of the most watched TV broadcasts of all time, but some conservatives on the internet were still insisting the boycott was "working" and somehow hurt the NFL and Colin Kaepernick. If that's a successful boycott, I'd hate to see what an unsuccessful one looks like. I wonder how many of the people who loudly declared at the start of the season that they "won't be watching" actually DID turn off the boob tube on Superbowl Sunday. Probably the same number of Hollywood celebs who actually left the country after Trump was elected. People always pound their chest and talk a good game, but it means nothing.

As for me, I didn't watch this year's Superbowl OR this year's Academy Awards. Unlike the two teams playing the superbowl, I actually DO have an interest in which films win, so I check out the results the next day, but I don't watch the awards because they are too long and always a bunch of snobby people patting themselves on the back. I watched last year's oscars only to give the middle finger to the Black Lives Matter crowd who were complaining the Oscars were racist against black people.

My objection isn't so much that Hollywood is biased against conservative filmmakers (Mel Gibson did get nominated this year in spite of how many people loathe him), but that Hollywood always gives the top prize to some tear-jerker historical melodrama and snubs genres I like, such as sci-fi and fantasy. I'm ticked that Suicide Squad won Best Makeup for Jared Leto's tattooed Joker and Harley Quinn looking like a heroin addict, instead of Star Trek Beyond which rightfully deserved the prize. And the only "Best Picture" nominee I've seen is the sci-fi film Arrival. It was a great movie but only took home one minor technical award. At least it was nominated in 7 other categories. I highly recommend it.

Have no idea what La-La Land or Moonlight is about. Most of the recent Best Picture winners have been disappointment... I was really looking forward to seeing 2014's Best Picture winner Birdman (casting Michael Keaton as a washed up actor who used to play a superhero was perfect casting) and it turned out to be some tedious artsy-fartsy movie that I could barely sit thru. 12 Years a Slave was also hard to sit through. I finally saw 2008's winner Slumdog Millionaire, which had its moments (the music score was very good) but was too disjointed and dour for me to enjoy. Life of Pi was much better.

There are thousands of movies every year, its interesting to see which ones win the top prize for being "the best", even if we tend to heavily disagree with the decisions, like who gets the Noble Prize each year.

Like I’ve said several times, I canceled my cable nearly a year ago (May, 2016). And I don’t miss it at all. Paying to be insulted and force fed propaganda? Done with that.

I bought an OTA antenna for $8.50 and pick up 40+ stations, many in HD. Even at that, I barely watch anything. But at least I’m not enriching “The Left”, and that includes the various sports leagues.

Movies? I’m down to going once a year. That’s dropping to zero.

Shop at Amazon? Nope.

Use Google products? For a search engine, I use it. I know there are alternatives and I will start using them.

People need to actually “stave the beast”. It needs to be Modus Operandi #1. And if enough people do it, “they” will notice.

Turns out the best picture snafu was only their second worst blunder of the night.
