See my #32 - I should’ve read the article.
Since you mention “clean eating”. One of my Bible Study partners was into that. Thin, healthy, & energetic. Now, stage 4 cancer - right out of the blue!

I honestly don’t think diet is as much a factor as doctors make it out to be. MHO.

Considering where most Millennials park their heads, I’m surprised it isn’t spreading to their crania.

Well, 75% is the number, but remember that a significant % of the population are not sexually active and have never been and never will be.

I venture that the number for persons having anal sex is 100%.

I’ll defer to your expertise on such things.

The reason peanut butter has certain preservatives is to curb development of mold that produces aflatoxin, a known carcinogenic. "Organic" peanut butter is a serious cancer risk. It may not be the only such case.

What’s ironic is all the claims that eating whole grain and organic is the solution to all the world’s health woes.

And yet, here we have in the Bible a record of what Jesus spent His time doing, and a lot of it was going around HEALING people who were sick.

LOTS of them.

If organic, whole grain eating were all it was cracked up to be, then where the heck did all the sick people come from for Him to heal?

That’s what I was thinking. Not enough bacon, eggs, toast and coffee (black).

Good theory, also being overweight is a risk factor for colon and rectal cancers.

I can't speak to the late 1800s, but things, we included, have changed quite a bit since WWII.

We sit more, work and play inside under artificial light and eat a factory processed diet out of a box, a bag or a can.

The world's population has increased and so have the environmental problems that come from more and more people.

Our air and water have chemicals in them that weren't in existence or weren't common in the late 1800s, and the same is true with the intensively farmed vegetables, grains and meats that we feed ourselves.

Given a choice, I'd rather eat foods that are as close to God as I can get, and made with love and care at home, rather than made by a machine in a factory and packaged for a long shelf life.

I also wonder about the sins of the world and about the coming cleansing. Sin is not unlike environmental pollution and our world is becoming/has become sin-saturated.

Is it safe to say we kids today don't live in tune with our Creator and that definitely has consequences?

Perhaps cancers, auto-immune disorders and similar are some of those consequences. "Beware of the critical spirit."

Christians are encouraged to fast two days a week. I was surprised to learn that fasting offers so many spiritual, physical and mental benefits, including purifying and healing the body.

Lots of possibilities for the increase reported. All I know is, things have changed and now it's Trump's fault.

“I honestly don’t think diet is as much a factor as doctors make it out to be.”

I agree. In fact, I don’t think environment has nearly the impact that people believe. They want to think that because they think they can find the formula that will make them healthy and live forever. It doesn’t exist. Genetics has much more to do with health, and God has the final say on everything.
