Two doctors and a woman have been indicted by a grand jury over the alleged brutal genital mutilation of two seven-year-old girls from Minnesota.

Detroit-based doctors Jumana Nagarwala and Fakhruddin Attar, as well as Attar's wife Farida, have been charged with female genital mutilation and conspiracy. The two doctors are also charged with making false statements to investigators.

Verified by US-based pediatrician and fellow at the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Hatem Al Haj Elhagaly, listed as a member of the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA).

This ‘Islamic scholar’ issued a 2006 ‘fatwa’ (an authoritative Islamic law ruling), saying that Islam sanctioned genital mutilation b/c sexual enjoyment is ‘better for the husband' when performed on a mutilated female.

Dr Elgahaly acknowledged that ‘the majority of the scholars regard it allowable and some Muslims consider it wajib (obligatory)........’ but advised that because FGM is illegal in the West, it should not be performed.”

And yet it is being performed....just recently in the US...apparently without American parents' knowledge or consent. A Somali doctor performed the mutilation on American children brought into the hospital's emergency room for other emergency care.

They don't trust vaccines in that part of the world because in some situations our intel agencies use that as a ruse to collect intel. One of the more famous cases was a polio drive engineered by the CIA to collect DNA to narrow down the search for OBL. That didn't go over to well...Just as USAID was used as cover as well.

I know that is what they said, but in fact, has that ever been proven? In any case, I was referring to a time long before OBL was in Afghanistan. Part of our Peace Corps group was dong thing like digging wells and they had opposition from the mullahs.
