Somewhat tortured, John. If you can pinpoint your location
a team of Colorado FReepers can be assembled for a rescue
mission.

There is probably no more documented “theory” in history than evolution. You fall into the trap of thinking this somehow relates to God.

I think the evidence actually points one towards God, not away.

Did we and all life evolve here? Yes. Is it all God’s hand... sure. There actually is only one life, everything is simply an extension of this one life. Kind of difficult to get one’s head around this but it is the truth.

Is this one life, of which we are a part of the “flesh of God” or the “breath of God” or? I have no idea but it is all God and we have nothing to fear by following wherever the truth leads. To do otherwise is an insult to God.

You have captured it nicely. Both parties, like all organisms, are self serving. Neither are willing to do those things and it may be its no longer to do those things across 50 states. What you have written here is a platform.

Postwar American conservatism not only failed (dismally) to preserve the nation, but by entangling the political entity known as the United States of America in overseas military demonstrations and through merging exclusively American economic structures with third world satrapies, the postwar American conservative movement has created an incredible situation in which we may fall to our enemies without a shot being fired.

Damn them to Hell.

Trump is a Truman democrat in all ways but (maybe) one, that Truman was for single-payer health care

Trump will endorse a single-payer plan within six months.

There’s new world order conservatism and then there is actual conservatism. We’ve spent the laat 30 years supporting the first kind. It’s time to kill it.

The Pre-War isolationists only have themselves to blame, in hindsight, they wound up looking silly, and Americans were in no mood to return to isolationism after the war.

The thing is, if I were alive in 1939-40, I too, probably would have been on the side of the isolationists. Which of course, is why I said “in hindsight.”

I always try to imagine, if we had FR back in that period...oh the thread wars we would have had. Any interventionist would have been called an “FDR Lover”, and isolationists would have been called “Hitler lovers”. Would have made any of our recent flame wars look tame, by comparison.

Conservatism without Nationalism is like Faith without Works.

A “conservative” is defined as “a person who is averse to change and holds to traditional values and attitudes, typically in relation to politics.”

Conservatism is dead. “Traditional values” are no longer honored. There is little to conserve any more. It’s now between nationalists and globalists.

A nationalist is somebody who values the safety and well-being of people of his own nation over outsiders. A globalist is somebody who thinks it’s immoral to favor your own people over the “poor and oppressed” of the world.

I am a nationalist. I care about my own family and future descendants the most. I care about the people who share an affinity for classic Western culture and classic Western values; who believe in working for a living and making their own way. Regarding people who might wish to enslave me and my posterity for their benefit, I swear my hostility to them.

I use the analogy of a nation being a house. And there are houses in a neighborhood.

Neighbors get along fine because each has his own house where they make the rules.

Multiculturalism is essentially moving several families into the same house. Whereas as neighbors they got along fine, now they argue and fight constantly about everything. It doesn’t make them bad people, it just puts people into an unfair situation.

I hope not, but if Americans can be convinced that the way out of Obamacare is Canadacare (even though it isn't), they'll buy it.

You are correct in your views of nationalism & tribal instincts. You could not be more wrong about that being in conflict with conservatism.

Conservatism is now, and always has been about preserving traditional values; about a multi-generational continuum of a people. It varies from community to community, of course; because the cultural heritages differ. The one consistent aspect is that"globalism"--humanist pretensions and arrogance--are never consistent with conservatism. Had Nimrod's ridiculous tower at Babel actually reached heaven, it might be different.

In American terms, the fundament of our common Conservatism--that is the aspect that is general, not local--I would suggest, is captured in the Preamble to the Constitution. What really distinguished us from most foreign ideologies, is that ours was based on actual experience, not theory: America: Based On Experience & Reason

You get that from my article?!!! Did you bother to read it? Not everything is about Trump and our collective focus on the federal government is simply a sigh of how sick and broken things have become. DC should not be the focus of free people’s lives!

I had 4 Trump yard signs in my yard... I put them all back up on inauguration... and set of a fair amount of fireworks within seconds of the official swearing in. but yes, I’m an anti-Trumper ‘cause you have the amazing ability to see what truly resides in someone’s heart. Keep up the good work! ;-)

I think that western societies have achieved the most personal freedom than any other societies currently existing or that have ever existed. The question in my mind is can such free societies last? I hope so, but I have my doubts.
