Alternative for TVAddons Repo for Kodi – TVAddons Replacement (The Kodi loophole is being closed)

As of this past week, the popular TVAddons website — and their large Fusion super repository — is down. Many of the addons that TVAddons had collected, including Exodus and Phoenix, also took a hit. These recent events have left many Kodi users scrambling to find some great alternatives to the popular and highly-relied-upon TVAddons. The good news is that TVAddons is not the only place to locate many great addons. Here are several TVAddons replacement repositories that will get you some (but not all) of the addons you’re looking for.

Looks like the Kodi crackdown is here. Exodus is no longer available. If you have it installed, turn off automatic updates or it will eventually be disabled.

Eventually they’re going to plug all the free streaming holes.

It’s been fun while it lasted, but I knew it wouldn’t last forever.

The upside is when it doesn’t work anymore I am already free of cable and will never be their customer again. I will just read more

Exodus still sort of seems to work, i was able to pull up a list of popular tv shows but search doesn’t seem to work.
I’ve hardly used it since i installed it but now i’m bummed that it’s gone, was planning on hooking the pc to the tv soon....

Turn off auto-update or you might lose it completely. Search seems to be the only thing not working. You can browse through genres to find the show you are looking for. It’s still useful, but if you ever lose it you’re not getting it back.

"Kodi", as installed fresh and new, is simply a music and video player. It does not come with any content at all. BUT, because it is totally open source, a community has grown up around it, creating sub-programs, if you will, which bring free content by scraping the web (and likely the dark web) for movies, tv shows and music. These add-ons, like Kodi, have no content of their own, but they sure know where said content is located and are more than happy to direct Kodi to it.

If you have ever gone to a website looking for free tv episodes, you have likely had contact with this community. Kodi simply made all this better organized and cross platform.

What a drag. Without the search feature to find a movie or show; Exodus is in limp mode. It did allow me to see the Box Office hits so I’m hoping the other categories work at least. I suspect it’s a matter of time before a new addon is made with a new installer. I wasn’t able to get the SuperRepo to install on my linux system so I’m out of luck there.

At least Projectfreetv is still working.

I got SuperRepo to install, but Exodus didn’t install from it because of some dependency issues. I could fix it with Indigo, but you can only get that from the defunct fusion.tvaddons.ag repository.

Indigo stopped working on my system days ago. I didn’t give it much thought at the time thinking they might be down for a little while doing some upgrades or something.

I got the Simply Cas (caswell) to install but it hangs. Must be some kind of dependency not working.

If I do a search I’ve done in the past it comes up in Exodus but not a new one. :(

I can’t seem to find the auto update in the settings...

In Kodi 17 go to Settings/System. Select the Add-ons tab. Set Updates to "Never check for updates" or "Notify, but don't install updates". I chose "Notify...".
