Or else they were hacked. Another libertarian Twitter feed recently exclaimed about how sad it is that we could look to North Korea as a nation that is more free than the USA.

Islam means “submit”. It divides the world into those who have submitted to Islam and can live in peace as long as they are fully compliant with Islam, and those who have not accepted Islam, and upon whom Islam makes war in order to murder or subjugate.

So on an extremely localized and narrow basis, Muslims are free to go about their business. However they are like inmates in a large prison. The biggest threat to personal liberty is freedom of thought, and under Islam it is a capital offence to even talk about accepting any other religion, let alone leaving Islam. The sanction is so severe that the ummah (that being the hive-mind of all Muslims) is obligated to murder such a person, no matter what the price they must pay in order to do so. That is how we get “honor killings” even here in the US.

In my way of thinking it insults the very concept of liberty when you are not at liberty to accept or reject God. And it blows my mind that the folks at Cato cannot discern the horrible danger that Islam poses to the very liberties they cherish and seek to advance.

Well, damn! I was hoping to see the Confederate statues replaced with statues of Ibn-Khaldun, but I guess I have to rethink that ...

Islam allows for dope, sodomy and tax evasion - good enough for Cato-style “libertarians”.

Libertine Arabs do not libertarians make.

That’s just the problem.

Godliness is needed to keep liberty from falling over into libertinism.

Cato would probably fight a faith revival.

Cato and virtually every libertarian I know are completely off the rails. They are supporting every far left idea as if it reflects freedom, but they are wholeheartedly supporting every fascist and totalitarian idea moving towards total control. It makes no sense.

.
Cato has a strange idea of what constitutes liberty.

When your liberty can cost the life of another, its tyranny, not liberty.

Islam ‘Consistent’ with ‘Libertarian Principles’, ‘Tolerance’, ‘Individualism’?

Gotta be satire

Clarify? I might wear a cologne that causes someone else a rare allergic reaction and anaphylactic shock. Is the onus of protection on me? Or on the sensitive one?
