Yes, and I actually heard some ‘journalist’ claim that Trump’s whole “fire the SOB’s” comment was retribution for the outcome of the NFL-USFL lawsuit. What an idiot!
I believe he was. If memory serves, he sued the NFL on anti-trust grounds (a very legitimate case, imo).
The judge/courts ruled in his favor and awarded Mr. Trump...one dollar! What an insult.

Was the USFL decent football? Me and my family lived overseas from Sept 1982 to March 1985 and as we were on our way home in March 1985, I watched a couple of USFL games on TV while we were in Hawaii. And that was about it for how much of that league I watched. I can recall some team names like the New Jersey Generals, Memphis Showboats, Tampa Bay Bandits, Philadelphia Stars, Houston Gamblers, etc. And also remember that ones like Jim Kelly and Herschel Walker got their starts in that league.
