In fact, I suspect Obama himself was indirectly one of the big reasons why these malcontents began their public protests. Black Americans got through most of Obama's two terms in office and then realized that nothing had gotten any better for them by any objective measure.

To the extent that they’re thinking about anything other than being with the cool people and getting attention, the people taking a knee are focused only on hating the West. Wait til they find out how eager the rest of the world is to learn what these people think and feel. But if that sad day ever comes, it’ll be too late for them and us.
