They will never admit they were wrong — ever. They’ll try to come up with BS band-aids like this “locked arms” thing, but they’ll never outright penalize anyone for not standing for the anthem. They’ll pull the national anthem first.
There are 32 teams...................
When you kick the viewership out of the NFL, that is the lynchpin holding up the broadcast media...
Yep, the Control-LEFT media.
Good job, President Trump.
One quick shot to the financial cajones.
It’s not gonna happen. They are doubling down.
Just enforce the current rule already in the charter. Simple.
For the large part, the NFL owners are Liberals. The same applies to ROGER GOODELL. That fact means that they bastards will NEVER apologize. My guess is that these Anti America cretins and scumbags will double down on their total disrespect for real Americans, our flag and our National Anthem.
Bets?
They’ve showed their hand. Standing for the National Anthem now would just appear hypocritical. Many of their facial expressions would indicate their true beliefs imo.
Not gonna happen.
They won’t apologize and should now facd not only boycott, but lose their anti-trust protection and public funding and tax breaks. Let them face the American people telling them You’re Fired!
Honestly, I wouldn’t care if they apologized and stood and placed their hands on their hearts. They have shown their true allegiance and it’s not to this country. I wouldn’t give them a damn thing. What kind of love is it that you have to pay for it? GTH NFL.
Actually I hope the players ramp up the protests.
Kill the NFL, ESPN, MSM quicker.
This had best end soon.
My supply of dolls and pins is depleting rapidly. I’m now down to 1 Chatty Cathy, 2 GI Joes and Kermit the Frog.
Some people say this will blow over. My response is that every Sunday, when the anthem is played, we will be reminded of what they did. Even if they just do “business as usual.”
Every. Single. Sunday.
For a lot of people, even some diehard fans, the die is cast. They are done. It’s like catching your wife, who you love dearly, in bed with another man. You see her differently. You will for the rest of your life.
The NFL, Starbucks, JCPENNEY and others are failing because they selected leaders with an agenda that does not put the corporation they work for first.
Exposing their vicious ANTI-AMERICANISM (in EVERY sense of t he phrase) was not a very wise business plan. Clearly the clods on the field share virtually ALL the bigotry of their ‘masters’ wearing the ‘suits’.
Well, now we know, don’t we?
The NFL is a league held hostage by its employees, 72% of whom are black and who have a social agenda far different than the public at large. Just as the OJ Simpson trial revealed a wide gulf between blacks and the society as a whole, there are major cultural differences and perceptions between blacks and the public. The same holds true for the NBA.
The owners are frightened by the employees who can destroy their business. It started in earnest when DeMaurice F. Smith became the head of the player’s union in 2009. Smith served in DOJ as Counsel to then-Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder. Smith’s ties to Obama and Holder have enabled him to become what amounts to being the community organizer of the NFL. As Executive Director, Smith has emphasized that players need to take more control of their careers, educate themselves, and be more involved in the process. The next player collective bargaining agreement will be in 2021. You can expect more demands from the players including social justice issues.
There is a price to pay when you own a business that depends overwhelming on a demographic group that has an activist social agenda. It becomes more and more difficult to separate sport from politics. Right now, the MSM and the Left are fine with that. The question will be whether the marketplace will continue to go along with the politicization of the NFL and NBA or will there be a revolt by the fans who pay the bills. The huge television contracts fuel both leagues (the revenue from actual fan attendance at the games is not that important), but the networks are dependent upon advertisers paying huge amounts of money to buy commercials.
