Many pro-lifers oppose Susan G Komen because of their ties to Planned Parenthood and Abortion.
This organization is different, it uses MEDICINE, SCIENCE and EDUCATION to prevent Breast Cancer.

My Grandmothers prevented breast cancer the old fashioned way.
Between them they breast fed and raised 22 children.
Didn’t read the text. Does this board of ‘truth-tellers’ mention that induced abortion is a prominent cause of breast cancer?
Or that birth control pill is on the CDC list of carcinogens in the same category as cigarettes?
This is NOT a science-based organization that benefits breast cancer patients. This is more pseudo-science from a guy (NOT an oncologist, NOT a physician with expertise in breast cancer) who is selling supplements:

He may have opinions on abortion that are valid, but abortions do not cause breast cancer.
Breast cancer, like ALL cancers, is a complex biological error that does not have a single cause, nor a single manifestation. Lifestyle can certainly be a factor in the development of certain breast cancers, as estrogen-positive cancers are fueled by adipose tissue, which contains estrogen. There are many different types of breast cancer and even within a type, there are multiple subtypes, each with unique characteristics that drive their development.
Please do not support organizations that are not actively involved in cancer research to treat and prevent breast cancer, particularly stage IV (metastatic) cancer. Metavivor is a reputable national organization that gives grants directly to scientists doing research, but your local breast cancer centers are the best places to ask about how to directly fund research efforts.
I agree with you about the Komen foundation and the whole “awareness saves lives” is way overblown. The only thing that saves lives is treatments for stage IV, because that is the breast cancer that ultimately results in death.
