HRT is based out of Quantico. FBI has local SWAT teams, that are comprised of agents doing collateral duty.
So, if it was actually FBI HRT then they:
- knew something was going to go down and they were pre-positioned to respond.
- they just happen to be in Vegas and were all jocked up, waiting for something to happen....see above statement
- they have the same kind of plane that the X-Men have and can stand up, jock up, and fly across the country in less than 72 minutes, either fast rope from the X-Men craft or land and ascend 37 floors, to breach and make entry into the room.
I’m not saying that there isn’t way more to this story and that we’ll, most definitely, never know any of it, unless Judicial Watch gets involved. But, HRT taking the guy down is a little suspicious, unless there was already lots of intel.
LVMPD is a pretty squared away department and I’m sure their SWAT can handle pretty much anything that is thrown at them. In fact, outside of some gadgets that the FBI might have(i.e. GNPV... http://www.insighttechnology.com/l3-products/gpnvg ), I’ll bet my money on the street cops from LVMPD over the college kids that think they’re playing Call of Duty, all day long.

I know most people have never heard of this store, but they sell NASA shirts at every Target. There are so few Target stores though, that the possibility of him buying one there is pretty remote.
(I realize most people have never heard of “Target,” its a store kinda like Kohls or the old department stores... clothing and house goods)
