It is a sad day for America when the nation is so divided our government refuses to prosecute traders because fear of civil war. With our media the truth is always first to die.

“It is a sad day for America when the nation is so divided our government refuses to prosecute traders because fear of civil war.”

I don’t think it’s fear of civil war. I think it’s fear of prompting an even more insane reaction from the dysfunctional Left. Let’s say we are just one big family. Every family has the person who controls others by flying into a rage. Even when the people running the family are trying to do what is right for the non-raging family members they try not to provoke a rage simply because they have other, more pressing matters to attend to and dealing with the rage will interfere. It’s a continual balancing act. But as long as the ragers exist the entire family walks on egg shells. (Many’s a time everyone in the workplace or family have heaved a sigh of relief when the rager retires, dies or goes someplace else.)

In society’s case, nearly half of the family are ragers. It’s too much to deal with and also deal with the economy, crime, international issues, etc. An attempt to prosecute Hillary, for example, would likely consume the media and the entire nation’s attention. Problems like Iran and North Korea would vanish, even if the North, for example, set off a hydrogen bomb and demonstrated they could get it to New York the ragers would not let us shift the nation’s focus to the new threat. As a nation, we simply can’t afford the total loss of national focus to collectively swear at our navels.

I hate what is happening. However, I don’t have an answer. Perhaps we could do what half the nation thinks is right and, say, prosecute the Clintons. But what might result, while not open warfare, would likely be just as socially divisive. Furthermore, the means used to deal with it might end up being more destructive to society as a whole in the long run. Silencing the press, for example.

We, society, are already dealing as well as we can. We stopped supporting the NFL, actors and actresses who are blatantly anti-American, “socially active” companies and Democratic politicians. Perhaps in the long run, cutting the purse strings by the public will have more effect than anything the government might do. Remember, government runs in cycles. The ragers will again have governmental power. Anything the government uses for good will eventually fall into their hands for evil.

please help with this point of clarification:
there have been reports that Sessions has refused to lift the gag order on the Uranium One FBI informant. Yet, I cannot find any evidence that this is the case.
As far as I can see, Sessions has yet to comment.

By not dealing with the problem for whatever reason, government has chosen the easier wrong over the harder right. If and when the left gets back in power, if they are not destroyed, they will not repay our mercy in kind. They have screwed every “compassionate conservative” who has ever compromised.

I understand the frustration but you can’t see the war was started long ago? Right now we are in the late part of the information dissemination (propaganda). Trump is performing way beyond what most mortal men could possibly hope for.

Don’t fall for the barrage of false information pouring out of the traditional news channels by the talking heads spewing out their assigned talking points.

It’s called cowardice.

I agree. However, Politian’s are focused on reelection. They are taking the easier path to that goal. Forty percent of the electorate holds 100% of the ragers. Forty percent of the electorate may or may not support, say, charging the Clintons. All elections are focused on winning fifty-one percent of the twenty percent in the middle who vote on how attractive the candidate is or because he reminds them of somebody they liked. But if the rage is too much for that fifty-one percent of the twenty percent in the middle they may simply want the noise to stop. They’ll vote Democrat as a way to make that happen. I am not saying this is right, quite the opposite. It is, however, reality. (My parents simply wanted my violent older sister to shut up. They didn’t care what it took to make that happen and fairness or how giving in would effect the future was not a consideration.)

If President Trump makes the four years and runs for reelection and (God forbid) loses to a Democrat, you don’t think they will go after him?
I had a friend on Facebook that posted lies about President Trump, I pointed out the lies. She said she knew they were lies, but it was fun. Her other followers agreed because it was fun to laugh at him.
If half of America feels this way President Trump could be arrested for the treason colluding with Russia, while the actual traitors are in full control.
I probably think too much. I just don’t like where our country is going.

This is why I don’t understand why Mitch won’t lift the 60 vote rule. The Dems will eventually gain power and will not hesitate for one second to do that very thing. He is no novice. He knows this. The only conclusion is he is part of the problem. They’ve been playing good cop, bad cop, but now we’re on to them.

I can’t believe Trump is letting everyone run over him. He’s the POTUS; doesn’t he realize what power he has? Sessions seems to be working actively for the other side, and Trump is letting him do so! Sessions refuses to go after anyone on the left, and will let Mueller run the entire administration out of office.

It is truly as if the dems are in charge here. And I guess in fact they are!

I watched that video. The headline “Sessions refuses to lift gag order on informant in Clinton-Russia probe” is misleading. Nowhere is there reference to a “refusal” by Sessions.
At this point Sessions could be considering, stonewalling, getting ready to lift, etc. But I find no evidence of refusal.

“...you don’t think they will go after him?”

Then Vice President Joe Biden hinted that he’d like to go after GWB with a “show trial.” That was the term he use; show trial. I looked into it and found that across the board, new presidents had not gone after their predecessors regardless of what the offence was. Bill Clinton left a Looking Glass satellite in the hands of the Chinese with no guards. That was by presidential order and against the strong objections of his military advisors. Treason if there ever was any. The treason carried on by both Clintons and Obama has and will forever go unremarked. A century from now it will be noted in textbooks, depending on what direction our country takes. But don’t bet on going to the right. The ragers push always left.

If Sessions does nothing the gag order stays and doing nothing is what he is good at. So he can sit on it and deny he has refused.

agree. I think Dobbs was trying to generate public outrage by using the word “refuses”. That is ok with me.
I can’t stop hoping that someone will do the right thing.
