Beyond the smoking gun: The new JFK files fill in 2 holes in the assassination story
jfkfacts.org ^ | 2017 | Jeff Morley

I’ve been hearing from news reporters for major news organizations, who ask, “What’s in the new JFK files? Is there a smoking gun?”

The answer is no. There is no one piece of evidence in the 113,00 pages of JFK records scheduled to be released by October 26, 2017, that will change people’s minds...

But the new JFK files, if released in their entirety, will fill in the two key gaps in the JFK assassination story that have long been obscured by government misconduct, official secrecy, and lazy journalism.

Think of the JFK assassination story as an incomplete mosaic. The new files help complete the picture in two ways.

The new files shed light on the CIA’s use of Lee Oswald for intelligence purposes before November 22, 1963. They also illuminate the illegal actions of government officials to conceal the CIA’s manipulation of Oswald and its plot to kill Fidel Castro in late 1963....

The CIA’s Use of Oswald:

The new files strengthen the claim–long denied by the CIA and mainstream news organizations–that the agency used accused assassin Lee Oswald for intelligence purposes.

Part of the story was brought to light the JFK review board in the 1990s when they released, a complete version of one of the agency’s many pre-assassination cables on Oswald. It was prepared by Jame Angleton’s Counterintelligence Staff on October 10, 1963.

More of the story is coming in the testimony of Orest Pena, a New Orleans bar owner who said he saw Oswald in the company of a senior FBI agents in the summer of 1963. The Pena testimony was not included in the first batch of National Archives releases last week.

The newly-declassified financial records of the CIA front group, the Cuban Revolutionary Council, are also relevant, as Larry explains at The New JFK Show Blog. In his turn as a public supporter of Castro in the summer of 1963, Oswald had repeated contacts with people associated with the CRC. I will be writing more about these records in comings weeks.

Meanwhile, intelligence historian John Newman has already begun to use the new files to develop the granular knowledge of CIA covert operations and cryptonyms necessary to tell this story.

The Criminal Cover-up:

The JFK release last week includes a great deal of material about Russian defector Yuri Nosenko, who claimed to have seen Oswald’s KGB file. The veracity of Nosenko’s claims in the face of CIA interrogation is a key issue that requires deeper analysis, as Newsweek has already reported.

Key documents to come include the still-unreleased testimony of Angleton to the Church Committee on September 12, 1975.

Also important are the operational files of CIA officers hostile to JFK who were involved in assassination operations including Bill Harvey, David Phillips, and Howard Hunt.

None of these files were included in the first Archives release.

While they are at it release the FBI tapes on MLK, Jr. That will open up the liberal’s eyes as to how imperfect, a major sexual predator and adulterer, and dishonest MLK, Jr. was and might even get a furor to remove his legacy.

Oswald = Patsy. Connect the Dots.

They were watching and coordinating every move he made, this intensified April-Nov ‘63. His handlers made sure the penniless LHO with no driver’s license or job got exactly where he needed to be for photo ops.

His family lived in the Paine residence (CIA operatives in family). Paine got LHO a job the month before at the TSBD. By direction from the Kennedy SS recon team, his motorcade was changed to pass by the TSBD on 11/18/63.

Lots of fun coincidences already revealed. Connect the Dots.

Too bad old Doc Crenshaw was such a big bullshitter:

“Yet when the New York Times called up Crenshaw in reponse to his book, he backed away from the book’s claims as to how central he was, saying that Hansen and Shaw “took poetic license” on this issue. Crenshaw “admitted . . .that the role he played in Kennedy’s case was minor.”

Doesn’t take a conspiracy theory to acknowledge two facts.

The US government allowed a defector to the Soviet Union who had renounced his US citizenship back into the USA.

The FBI office in Dallas was supposed to be watching Oswald. The had met with him and questioned his Soviet wife.

Thus the US government was directly complicit in the assassination of JFK.

We just don’t know whether this was on purpose or was it just gross negligence?

Don’t make the mistake of debating with someone who has no interest in the subject and less knowledge!

"Those that claim more than two shooters have greater weight."

In November 1963, Lee Harvey Oswald was a former Marine with a record of poor marksmanship who supposedly used a wore out old Italian Carcano carbine with a sloppily mounted scope to make a head-shot on a moving target at 100 yards. At the time, I too was a former Marine, but with a four year record of expert marksmanship, and I've always doubted if I could have made that shot.

Maybe.

But there’s quite a few people out there who are by no means a ‘nut’ who of a different opinion.

You’re not afraid that one of your RINO buddies will get implicated, are you?

Among the “interesting” things that Crenshaw claims are:

The back of Kennedy’s head was blown out, clearly implying a shot from the Grassy Knoll in front of Kennedy.

A small wound in Kennedy’s throat was an entrance wound, proving a shot from the front, and not from the Sniper’s Nest behind Kennedy.

Parkland doctors, knowing there was a conspiracy, have feared to speak out.

The President’s body was altered between Parkland Hospital and the autopsy at Bethesda.

And the most sensational: Lyndon Johnson called the operating room were Oswald was being treated and demanded a confession be extracted from the accused assassin.

I saw him interviewed on TV when the book came out, and the “demand” by this writer was described by the doctor to be more like a bellow. And the writer thinks, beside the opinion that what people witnessed is not valid, that the head was in too much of a mangled state for the doctors to really know where the bullets came from, unless they admitted it came from the rear.

Really, but how much centrality does it take to observe the bullet wounds. Obviously, there would be more than one doctor in attendance.

You are entirely correct, and I probably should know better. But such low hanging fruit.

The new files shed light on the CIA’s use of Lee Oswald for intelligence purposes before November 22, 1963.

If the CIA used Lee Harvey Oswald for anything whatsoever prior to November 22, 1963, then that is beyond weird, disturbing, and alarming...

Do you suppose deep state envisioned internet 1990-2017 when they put only a 50yr gag on this?

The cover up is a SS agent riding in the car behind JFK delivered the kill shot to the back of the head when he accidentally discharged his weapon upon standing up in the vehicle after the first shots were fired at the motorcade.

Hanlon’s Razor suggests mostly the latter. The CIA/FBI do not want the document dump because it makes them look incompetent.

Arlen Spector became a deep state senator.

GHW Bush, and his son, became president.

Howard Hunt was in deep with Nixon.

Oswald got a hardship discharge to take care of his mother then the next day went to Russia

All coincidences? Smells fishy to me.

I want someone to give me just one sane justification for withholding -anything- from 1963.

The only reason for withholding anything at this point is to stop embarrassment and culpability of people like involved in politics, intelligence, and polite society today.

Some of the best witnesses to the mystery have since died of old age and confessed on their deathbeds. That to me weighs heavier than most other known confirmed evidence.

The spook assets in news media carry out what is described as ‘information poisoning’ which puts inadvertent truth disclosures into a maelstrom of disinformation rendering truth as crap conspiracy drivrl. Everybody becomes turned off when a truth is thrown in with a bed of lies. People don’t know what to think which is the aim, to sow doubt and confusion.
