Who is paying the lawyer to do so much legalese? Sounds like the sales pitch I fell for once.

What I haven’t heard a single word about, is that in Alabama at the time this is alleged to have occurred, a girl could get married at 13 with parental permission, and 16 without permission. I was in the Army and stationed in Alabama from 1973 to 1976, and knew several guys in their late teens and early 20’s who married 13, 14, and 15 year olds, because the parents had given permission.
I stand with Roy Moore
Paid accusers have to be believable. Thats why they get paid. They’re professionals.
She did not seek the limelight. No glory, no financial compensation, no justice.
She did not seek out any of these things, but when a Washington Post showed up at her door and offered her all of those things along with a suitcase full of money, a team of lawyers and spokesmen to represent her she jumped at the chance
She is not seeking the limelight? BS. If that were the case she’d be identified as a Jane Doe.
She’s going the feted, wined and dined, and schmoozed on all the LSM networks. Then there will be the book deal.
In the event I run for public office in the distant future, I’m admitting that when I was in high school, I kissed a girl who was only 16 years old............There, it’s out there for the world to see.
‘Problem with the booze angle is that they lived in a dry county and nobody sold booze.’
did she state specifically that he purchased the booze, and that it was provided by the restaurant...? providing her with booze could be a BYOB deal...

Well....uh...maybe Roy knows the truth and you don’t nitwit.
Etowah County appears to have gone wet by referendum in 1972.

The Washington Post is regarded as a left leaning news source along with The New York Times, The L.A. Times, and The Wall Street Journal, all ultra liberal. When you create a reputation of such a straight line view in the eyes of the public, you are only preaching to one religion, liberalism. At that time you lose a huge amount of credibility to anything you try to call a discovery and automatically place your facts in question. An open mind creates possibilities. A closed one cant accept them nor pass them, right or wrong. So if the attacking document source was above board all the time, there wouldnt be any question.
And this brings to mind a question on my mind, if she had had an unwanted sexual encounter with him at 14, why did she start dating him at 18?

Deason said that their relationship started in 1979, and he never forced himself on her. They met while she worked at the jewelry counter of a department store inside Gadsden Mall when she was 18. She told The Post that she was attending Gadsden State Community College at the time and was still living at home with her parents, adding that she typically had a strict curfew. But because of Moores stature, her mother felt comfortable allowing him to see her.
My mom was really, really strict and my curfew was 10:30 but she would let me stay out later with Roy, Deason told The Post. She just felt like I would be safe with him.
She thought he was good husband material.
When does the time come to sort out the truth and not conjecture based upon political manure until it gets to deep to get through?

The report was that they were “served drinks”
Perfect.
A guy can have SEX with a 16 year old girl and not be doing anything illegal. Hence the old saying, “15 will get you 20”!
Unless the guy is a pedophile, he won’t risk being imprisoned for raping a 14 year old when there are gals 2 years older who are legal. And if he IS a pedophile, he won’t stop with just one underage girl.
Either there is a 38 year long pattern of pedophlia, or not. If not, then Moore was not doing anything illegal.
Drinking? My kids at least tasted wine and beer in their early teens. I wanted them to know what it tasted like. One liked wine. The other two liked neither. Not sure why it would be illegal. It certainly is NOT immoral.
My father was 32, and my mother was 16 when they married in 1936. My oldest sister wasn’t born until 1940. I was the fourth and last child born in 1947. Today they’d label my father a pedophile.

At age 14, my grandmother married my much older grandfather, bore two sons, and lived a happy life. Perhaps life spans were shorter back then, and people married closer to the age of puberty? Someone else posted that we should not judge earlier times through current day lenses. I think that is wise advice.
Gerry Studds, a Massachusetts Democrat, had sex with an underage page. Barney Frank had prostitution ring running out of his home. Bill Clinton was accused of rape and paid off on a sexual harassment suit. All got reelected. There were no calls by Democrats or from "mainstream" media demanding they step down.
“She said, He said, some thirty or forty years later. Who cares, one way or the other? The Alabama of thirty/forty years ago saw marriages regularly with thirteen year old girls. Remember a guy named Jerry Lee Lewis!!!
Get real, folks. Older men, always went after the younger gals..it was the way it was...and most of the ladies loved the attention and maturity. Otherwise they would not have continued seeing the older guys, like these accusers did so many times. This McConnell farce is a low life Republican Establishment, RINO dud, Dead-On-Arrival!!!
Judge, Roy Moore...hang in there...much ado about nothing!!!
