FULL TITLE: 'You can't rewire evil': James Bulger's father says his son's killer Jon Venables should NEVER be freed after being dragged back to jail over child porn for a second time
James Bulger's father Ralph has said his toddler son's killer should never be freed again after he was dragged back to jail over child porn for the second time.
Jon Venables was arrested last week after officials making a routine visit to his home discovered the 'sickening' images on his computer and alerted police.
It is the second time that the monster, now 35, has been put behind bars for child porn offences, having been caught with a large hoard of images in 2010.
Venables and Robert Thompson were ten when they abducted James, 2, from outside a Merseyside butchers before torturing and murdering him in 1993.

I remember when this happened. My response was the same then as it is now.
There are people who recognize evil, and there are people who don’t believe evil exists.
I remember that horror story very well, seeing the coverage as it unfolded.
Gruesome doesn’t begin to describe what they did to that poor little toddler.
Pretty awful to say this about 10 year olds, but they should have been disappeared off the face of the earth before they made it to their next birthdays.
Whatever toxic combination of genetics and home life led to their behavior, the crime itself said that there was nothing that could rehabilitate these monsters.
They made Chucky look like Opie.
If a yongster in an Amazon jungle tribe proved to be an unfixable defective unit, they’d just kill it for the survival of the tribe.
On principle, I don’t condone an officially sanctioned Purge. But if a victim’s family should be momentarily overcome by indignation and suddenly cut the head off a monster like this one, the law should provide for a measure of understanding and leniency.
I disagree about the rewiring. Old Sparky has rescued many of those from evil doing.
In a sane world, the fathers of the perps would have dispatched the monsters themselves, then spent the rest of their days apologizing to the victim’s family and pleading for mercy for siring the depraved little demons.
And it would have sent a clear message to any of their other spawn.
But the recipient has to want it.

he was a kid then and we always want to give young kids at that age a “second chance” to redeem themselves.
So how come that Thompson (the other kid that had a hand in killing the 2 year old) kid never re-offended and this one did?
What about Mary Bell of England from the late 60’s? She killed but after treatment she never re-offended and she’s what? 55 to 60 years old now.
I have to ask why some kids can be reached and some are bad seeds?
It’s a complicated formula, whatever the full context is.
Something went horribly wrong with these kids, and then the Bulgers and society were again victimized by the ensuing compassion.
How many failures over time all worked together to result in this crime. IIRC these two were regular truants, and apparently had nothing better to do that day than to abduct and torture a toddler.
Well, I suppose I could ask how many failures over time all worked together to result in modern Western society with all of its ills.
Most don’t realize the collective and long-term effects of life’s small decisions.
Maybe the few who don’t reoffend realize that the only way forward is forward, and are grateful for an unmerited second chance.
Some people are bad seeds.
