MSNBC host Joy Reid apologized for blog posts she wrote from 2007 to 2009 that used language criticized as homophobic to mock former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist.
“This note is my apology to all who are disappointed by the content of blogs I wrote a decade ago, for which my choice of words and tone have legitimately been criticized. As a writer, I pride myself on a facility with language — an economy of words or at least some wisdom in the selection,” Reid said in a statement provided to TheWrap.
“However, that clearly has not always been the case.”
In the posts, which appeared on her now-defunct blog “The Reid Report,” Reid frequently referred to Crist as “Miss Charlie” while calling him closeted. She also employed sarcastic tags such as “gay politicians” and “not gay politicians.”
In other posts, Reid repeated speculation that Crist married to his now-ex-wife Carole Rome to quash rumors and increase his chances of being selected as Republican John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 presidential election.
Reid also joked about the possibility of Crist and McCain having sex, about what she called Crist’s “gay wedding,” and about his honeymoon.

So somebody printed her old blog I guess - is she worried there may be more coming, like texts or things she said at parties? That would be delicious to label her a liberal homophobic!

First time I’ve seen an article that didn’t definitively define the user as “homophobic”. Oh gee, Nice to know: gauging negative faggot terms is based on the perceptions of the reader.
Bet she doesn’t feel any sense of irony judging Roy Moore for ALLEGED actions FOUR decades ago.

How come ANYTHING anyone not agreeing with the LIBs is ‘guilty’ for wild accusations 40 years ago yet ‘they’ let themselves off the hook for ACTUAL statements - not taken out of context - statements that say what they mean..
Like R Byrd and his ilk are accepted because their KKK activities were in different times yet the S Thurmonds of the world - both from basically the same generation are guilty.
Before you know it, Gloria Allred or her daughter will be defending some rapist/sexual abuser etc etc etc
Anybody remember a Food Network host named Paula Deen? Her career was destroyed because of something she said about blacks 30 years prior. Why should Joy Ride not get the same treatment?
