Let me tell you friends that one simple spelling mistake...even a typo...can make your life hell. I recently penned a short, Romantic note to my wife while I was away on a fishing trip, and I missed one small "e". No problem you might say. Not so! This tiny error has caused me to seek police protection to enter my own house. I wrote, "Hi darling, I'm enjoying and experiencing the best time of my whole life, and I wish you were her!
If I realized that mistake before I returned home, I’d fill the gas, point the Challenger towards Maine (hate the heat) and start my new life under an assumed name.
Newly married, my wife found a small pile of poems and song-like lyrics I had written for girls back in Junior High and High School - but never sent. (In a box full of other stuff from back then - yearbooks, etc.)
“How come you never write me poems?”
So I did - and left it on her pillow.
“Roses are red,
Tulips are yellow,
I love you more,
Than mixed-fruit Jello.”
She just gave me this squinting, head-shaking look.
Although just the other day she was cleaning her night-stand and came across it again 20+ years later. Not that she needed the note - she knows it by heart. The kids probably do too!
One common error is when you mean to type “honey” and in your haste you accidentally type “hiney.” You can think of all kinds of settings for that error to put you in the dog house.
I helped my Uncle Jack off a horse.
Now replace the caps with lower case and see what it means.
