They have really really jumped the shark on this one.

The NFL committed suicide this year. By next year, no one will miss them.

Just remember NFL Fans - every time you buy a ticket, receive an NFL coffee mug, or get a jersey - YOU are paying for this.

I’d rather eat a*s cheese than ever watch the NFL again.

It needs to be banned and all players sent to North Korea or Syria where their Marxism will go down well

Freepers need to be more understanding—the players and league executives are suffering from a contagious and virulent form of traumatic brain injury!

According to their website, “the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) is an unprecedented alliance of professional sports leagues, organizations, athletes, educators, media networks and sports professionals using sports to bring people together to promote understanding, respect and equality. Through public awareness campaigns and educational programming, RISE aims to improve race relations.”

What about women’s sports, what about youth sports, what about gay and transgender athletes in sports, what about adaptive sports.....I could do this all day.

But their only concern identified as race relations. At that point by their own words they are no longer trying to promote understanding, respect, and equality. They have become a short sided activist group using lies to create a blanket of trust for their efforts to re-educate people, many of them kids, and race relation failures in this country of which they will probably not identify themselves as a major part of it. So what are they doing any different than taking a knee and not accomplishing anything else? They are actively seeking out people to take a knee with them. And that doesn’t get it improved.

Don’t forget that the NFL’s PR person is Joel Lockhart.

Another example of the inmates (players) taking over the asylum (NFL). Surveys now reveal that this NFL operation has the lowest approval of any major sporting operation. Items like this will do nothing to improve that rating.

I have not watched an NFL game in about 2 years, I think. The Tampa Bay Bucs, in their miserable years of straight losses, had a joke about a season ticket owner leaving 2 tickets on his windshield and returning to find 4. With sub $10 tickets appearing to be easily available at many stadiums yet they still have many empty seats, this is a non-joke to the NFL BUT still they continue in the same path!

What is that famous truism about insanity; doing the same thing but expecting different results? Hello NFL!

How are we supposed to take this seriously, when they battle with President Trump instead of taking their cause to the party that runs the cities where the vast majority of the shootings of blacks occur?

Instead, they take it out on their fans including Republican fans.

Fine, let someone else pay their salaries. I'm through.

““Sport has been an international venue for social change since before Jesse Owens swept the 1936 Olympics and opened the world’s eyes to the image of justice and equality”

Very infrequently and only in conjunction with other factors. Recently sports has been about criminal behavior, once & done collegiate basketball players, recruiting scandals, Miscogeny and on & on.

It’s like watching someone pour gasoline over a masterpiece and light it on fire.

You don’t own it, but part of your soul is invested in it because of its beauty and poetry.

And then they pour gas on it, and you think, “What are you doing?”

And then there is the match, and that small interval where it might be saved, and you want to tackle the guy who touched it off.

Then you resign, because the painting is gone. You can still see what it used to look like, but it is gone for good.

All that value wiped out. You just stand there and gape.

The loss is so big, you realize it will effect all painting everywhere.

Because if the NFL dies, so does college ball. While it is true many are playing because they love it, many more are playing because they might go pro.

And the money that was there for scholarships? That’s going to go too when the only customer for their product goes away, and the NFL folds its tent.

I grew up in the time of Staubach, Stabler, Sanders, Blanda, Lamonica, Kilmer, etc. Jim Otto and Otis Sistrunk. Johnny U. Broadway Joe. Ray Guy. Montana to Rice.

I just can’t believe they’d burn it down, and then give the arsonist a $200M tip. I don’t see any logic in it, and somewhere its got to be there.
