He should be suing, yes, but doing everything he can to keep Jones from being seated, too.

Why was McConnell only a few feet from a microphone when the news broke about Moore.

The Turtle almost twisted an ankle running to the mic

He should have thought about that before he took a week off before
the election.

Moore won the legitimate election.

Okay but he didn’t win the one that they counted.

What did he do with my campaign donations. He didn’t hold an event anywhere near me or in north Alabama as far as I know. Moore didn’t fight for the job. We expected a cake walk. The democrats and GOPe had adds everywhere even on pandora. Moore didn’t fight! Why. What did he do with the millions he did raise. Disgusting but I would prefer Moore.

We’ll just have to disagree as it is our right. But maybe Moore
saw the writing on the wall and that’s why he decided to go to the
Army/Navy game and not hit the campaign trail. Who knows but he
turned out to be a lousy choice based upon the voters response he got.

Take care and hopefully we’ll get the seat back in Nov. 2020.

Falsely calling him a child rapist cost him hundreds of thousands of votes. Just as the Deep State planned.

When Sean Hannity asked Roy Moore straight up if he dated teenagers as young as 16 when he was a 30-something year old man, Moore should've answered "No!"

Moore couldn't do this.

Moore won the legitimate election.

Maybe he should write a book?

I agree. If he is not interested enough to campaign, what should anyone be interested enough to vote for him?

But I’m sure he regrets the jet setting too now.

Honestly, he probably thought he had it in the bag, that there was no way Jeff Sessions' seat would ever get replaced by a Democrat.

I'll be many of the 650,000 Trump voters who stayed home thought the same thing; they could keep their hands clean and Moore would still win.

The biggest lesson we need to take away is this: If properly funded and motivated, the Left has the capability to rally the troops, have volunteers canvassing the neighborhoods, manning the phone banks, and getting Democratic voters to the polling booths.

There is no Republican seat so safe as to give us the luxury of running fringe nutjob candidates and then staying home on election day.

It shouldn’t be hard.

I read just a couple days ago on FR that someone was being interviewed by the press about the election victory and he admitted that people were bussed in from out of state to vote.

I’ll tell you who was seriously to blame here, and that was ex-Gov. Robert Bentley. If he hadn’t “made a deal” with Attorney-General Strange and chosen virtually any other statewide official or Congressmember, that person would be sitting in the seat now biding their time for the special election which was supposed to have been held in Nov 2018. The new Governor Ivey moved the election up a year in order to get rid of the tainted Strange. Well, it got rid of him alright. It was just a giant mess all around.

We’ll probably never win any of these one-off elections while Trump is president, because the left is so organized. Look at how they planned Charlottesville.

Here’s the thing, though... dating someone that young in Alabama is NOT illegal. Age of consent is 16. A man in his 30s dating someone that young with an eye towards marriage is not extreme, let alone criminal. With the false charge of him sexually assaulting a 14-year old, following up with a question of (legally) dating 16 or 17 year olds is too close to making it look like guilt by association.

You had Jerry Seinfeld dating a 17-year old when he was nearly 40 and nobody was screaming “pedophile !” at him. The proper response from Moore would’ve been, “I broke no laws with my choices in dating almost 40 years ago.”

Plenty of things aren't illegal that would nonetheless handicap a political career. Marrying a porn star isn't illegal. It's probably going to hurt your chances when you run for Senate though.

Jerry Seinfeld wasn't running for Senate and people did think it was a little creepy at the time.

Mitch McConnell is the reason Moore became the GOP candidate

So Trump and McConnell supported Luther Strange in the primary so that Moore would be the GOP candidate? LOL

His dating habits of nearly 4 decades ago weren’t the issue, though. It was the false allegation that he’d somehow sexually assaulted a 14 year old that did, along with that doctored yearbook slander.

Anyhow, it was as I said earlier in the week that this is a prime example why good men and women don’t run for office, because you can be lied about the moment you decide to jump in (as almost every Republican can attest to). The truly vile (Dems) don’t care, because they have no conscience, and the media is just as likely to give them cover. Every Dem scandal unearthed is merely something they’ve known about and refused to report on.
