At least that seems to be the approach taken by the 'millions' of cats that have made their home on Russian farmer Alla Lebedeva's land.
The land-owner, based in Prigorodny, close to Barnaul in Siberia, has made capturing the icy fur-balls on film a dedicated hobby - and they're now YouTube stars in their own rights, with more than 2,000 people following their every move.

I swear, this one could be my Cootie who is a Tortie......
But Cootie's eyes are a bright yellow.........
All in all, those are beautiful cats and based on their thick coats, definitely suited to those extreme temperatures........

We have a similar long-haired cat. He is impervious to rain and snow but doesn’t like cold feet

We have a yellow-eyed calico manx. And a tort perma-kitten(small cat). And a blue cat. And a long-haired trouble maker. All rescues.

Yes, I was joking. That said, I'll leave you with Winston Churchill quotes:
"A dog is the only thing on Earth that loves you more than you love yourself"
"I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals."

Interestingly enough, while she's my shadow (and lying on the top of the back of the couch immediately behind me), she's never allowed me to pick her up. When in the kitchen, I can try to stop and pet her but she scampers a few feet away.......I'll sit on the kitchen floor but she won't come near me.
I'll sit on the couch and she'll come up and sit beside me but if I lie down, she won't lie down beside me but rather hop into the area behind my bent knees while I lie on my side........
Strange cat that I suspect is harboring feral tendencies even thou she was rescued at about 2 months old.........

Yes, pic in post #1 is almost identical to our female NFC. Yet, she loses the mien in the summer. So pretty, these kitties are!
