Of course she had to mention O’Reilly and Ailes and no one else. God, I can’t stand that woman.
Of course she never hears any rumors or talk either. /sarcasm
Nope. Her credibility on this topic was toast when she applauded the rapist Polanski. Shut up and sit down, dearie.
And no, we don’t want to see you as Princess Leia.

Wasn’t she involved with Jon Cazale (who was the unsung talent from the Godfather)?
Many celebrities made public statements about Weinstein’s conduct across many years prior to 2017, so for any celebrity who had worked with him to claim that they had not heard is false, and a way for them to proclaim themselves invincibly ignorant.
Sorry, Meryl. No golden statue for this little act. Not buyin it. You play the sainted hypocrite preaching to the lesser masses better than you play the ignorant yet imperious Hollywood legend. Lets recast.
Isn't that what HW said that started all the trouble in the first place?
She knew him well enough to compare him to God.
I’ve long been a fan of Streep’s, and up until recently she kept her politics mostly to herself. That has changed, and it has alienated me somewhat. As other posters have noted, she couldn’t resist throwing in Ailes and O’Reilly with Weinstein. Why not mention all the liberals who have gotten into trouble; there seem to be more of them. Recently, in the “Times,” Selma Hayek wrote a piece about her abuse at the hands of Weinstein. It was a good piece, but she couldn’t resist a passing swipe at Trump. Why do these people have to politicize everything?
