Good Dog!
Now, are those geese any good to eat? Never had any. Where I am from, they are like huge rats.
I tried one once. Heavy on the once.
If you prepare them in a convection oven, they are wonderful.
I had so many ducks, geese, pheasant this fall, I ended up making lots and lots of jerky ...for the dogs’ treats.
Geese are filthy in a public place; all of ours are migrating geese; not the ones who inhabit parks, etc.
I was never much of a waterfowl hunter, and preferred upland birds, but I was talked into goose hunting one time. The 4 man party got our limit and then no one wanted their birds so I took them. Their a pain in the butt to clean and had a mild liver flavor to them. But I made a lot of goose meat stew with them instead of throwing them out.
If you've never tried cooked goose you should. One time will do the trick and remove all doubts. I'm not a fan myself.
