Trump threatened Assange with incarceration? All I’ve read here is talk of giving Assange a pardon.
This would seem to be a nice olive branch.
Assange has come up in some interviews with Trump, and I recall that Trump really doesn't like Assange one bit.
Assange is a bit of an egocentric guy, and he will publish any stolen material regardless of the potential damage it might cause. As CIC, Trump cannot condone this sort of activity or we'll wind up with more fools like Bradley Manning looking for their 5 minutes of fame.
The only way Assange could curry favor with Trump would be to spill the goods on how he got the DNC emails (Seth Rich?) and perhaps some other sources.... but Assange still refuses to do that.
