I was in the hospital for a minor procedure briefly last year, sharing a room with a fellow who had kidney failure from taking ibuprofen. Years before, he hurt his knee and took Motrin for the pain daily. This killed his kidneys. When I got home, I threw out every bottle of the stuff I had.

n which the symptoms become worse—sufferers report a reduction in libido, muscle mass and changes in mood. How do they know this is caused by the pain they are taking the ibuprofen for? I know when I'm in pain, my libido is reduced. My mood ain't so great, either.
