I dated several guys from work before I met my hubby.
I was meeting more nice guys at work.
The guys at church never asked the girls out. None of the women from my Bible Study were getting asked out.
One of the major college Christian groups was called the "Navigators" and the nickname acquired was the "NeverDaters" because the leadership forbid any activities where men and women could be alone together. Dating was seriously frowned upon.
One of the ladies in our co-ed group joked that Navigator women used to envy the garbage because at least the garbage was taken out once a week.
While I thought their stance was too rigid, I found that I couldn't have my mind on Christ and my mind on girls at the same time. So you'd *think* church was a great place for women to find good guys but the girls would rather grab some guy they liked and convert them later.
Throw in that the non-churched girls constantly turned up their noses at guys who were "too good" and you have a lot of guys like me who never even got their love lives in gear until after 30.
