My plan is to clear away the Iraq War tapes before going on to a different time period. I've just encoded 10 more hours of tape here. And, yes, I know how some people feel about Bush and the war, but that doesn't make these less historically interesting or factual of the opinions of the time.
Iraq War - Part 2 - Tape 1 - Entering Baghdad - 5-6 Apr 2003 - FOX
Presidential Palace; Battle for Baghdad; can hear the battle during news reports; "We're not here to raise American flags; we're here to free the Iraqi people."; Col Hunt; US troops trying to oust remaining government; satellite views of government buildings; worries about tunnel networks under palace
Tape 2 has been up. I just figured out its tape number. Tapes 3 thru 6 are newly up.
Where Baghdad Bob appears, I put him in the title. I HAVE to make a Best Of collection of him. Wish I had more.

Thanks for posting this.
Bump for later.
Do you have any data on the number of Muslims that Bush’s military sent to allah? I’ve heard figures well in excess of 100,000. It was a good start.
I did read some, but never kept much in my cluttered brain. Most of what I remember is coming from scanning these tapes as I edit them for encoding. I’m sorry I can’t help. From some of the Centcom responses to reporters, they were trying very hard not to answer questions like that.
Ok, ridding the planet of thousands of Muslim scum was one accomplishment Bush must be given credit for.
