This information is outdated. As I understand it, the law was amended a couple of years ago to allow anyone who had a permit to own a weapon to carry it for self defense.
Got to wonder how much the growth of the Russian mafia contributed to that.

Who decides who can and who cannot have a permit?

Maybe the Russians are on the right track. Do we need these type of guns and if so, for WHAT PURPOSE ?
