A Canadian women's hockey player refused to wear her silver medal after her team lost to arch rivals USA in the Olympic finals.
Jocelyne Larocque yanked the medal off her neck during the ceremony in Pyeongchang just seconds after an official gave it to her.
The 29-year-old and her teammates lost the gold to the USA on Thursday in a dramatic shootout, ending a streak of four gold medals in the last four Olympic games.
Team USA celebrated gold medal joy and ended 20 years of Olympic misery against Canada in the most anticipated clash of the Winter Games last night.
They held their nerve and won the dramatic shootout after the game ended 2-2 in regulation time.

I grew up in Minnesota - and the High School State Hockey Championships are coming up, and being out-of-state I’m trying to find the games on the net. (It will be hit and miss I think). But watching some of the games on youtube, it is pretty funny the verbal sparring that goes on between the Canadians and the Minnesotans on who develops better and more hockey players.
A Canadian made a good point thought - Canada probably (or maybe he had the numbers and it is a fact) that they produce more hockey players - as that is such a common sport in Canada for most towns.
The old coach in my hometown in Minnesota was asked about how it felt to have the most state championships in hockey, 15 or something at the time). Well - it’s great - we have a great program. But how about our basketball team winning State twice!? 900+ schools in the state have basketball - while only 147 have hockey. (Numbers are estimated, but you get the gist of it.)

There are approximately 6 grams of gold in a gold medal that weighs about 250 grams.
That’s why what’s her face yakking about Trump cost her the gold medal.
When globull warming hits with its full force next week all of the ice will melt and there will be no more ice hockey. The hockey players will be playing water polo.
This was so tacky. Granted, all of the Canadian players looked like their grandma had just died, but this was just a low class move in a foreign country who is hosting you.
It is deadly serious with them though, I saw an interview with a Canadian player before the game who flat said, “We absolutely HATE them!”
Most Olympians would be thrilled to have a silver medal.

Ever heard of the World Junior Hockey Championships? Visit canada before the New Year and it’s a canadian tradition. It’s on TV everywhere. It occurs every year right after New Year.
Ask any American about it and 99% will say they never heard of it. When America wins it, the country is damn sad LOL. But when canada wins that tourney, it’s totally normal. In 2017, the US won but Canada got back this year.
Shoot outs are what lawn fairies do after two hours of a boring nil to nil score...........
