Mine runs two hundred twelve dollars a month. The only sports package I had was NFL, the rest of the cost being movie channels.

"God put on my heart that football was an idol in my life."

That is what it has become for many. The NFL has become extremely arrogant, and now views itself as not just a sports entertainment organization, but almost as the arbiter of public morals, as the very core of society, as something which we literally cannot live without. In other words, it views itself as a god. They try to create the impression that it is almost unthinkable for someone not to watch the Super Bowl.

There certainly isn’t much to miss with the NFL.

That’s exactly what I did. Warning. Get a huge band width internet service or by End of billing period you will buffer.

In addition to Direct TV streaming, you should look into Hulu, which has what appears to be a decent lineup:

In addition, you get the archived movies and TV that have normally been part of their service.

$39 a month (yes a couple of bucks more expensive, but if you already have a Hulu or Netflix account, this could be a decent all-in-one solution that would save money in the long run).

What I would love to see, though, is a true a-la-carte solution for TV. Sadly, everything appears to have packages that include channels that I really don't want to support (like the ultra-leftist ESPN, CNN, MSNBC, etc).

You missed two great Super Bowls. In fact, last year’s Super Bowl is rated everywhere as the best game ever. NFL won’t miss you at all, but I’m glad you can exercise your choice. By the way, NFL signed a new contract with Fox about a month ago for $550 million more than this year, just to broadcast 10 Thursday night games - that is not the total, but $550 million more than what CBS paid for this year - that is $55 million more per game. I have a funny feeling the NFL doesn’t seem to mind its “troubles”.

Who ruined sports? Who ruined popular music? Who ruined the inner cities? Who almost ruined the Presidency? Was it the Amish?

I have Amish relatives. Tons of them. My mom was born Amish. Aunts, uncles and tons of cousins, so yes, knowing them and seeing them up close and personal, it was the Amish.

Canceled mine last year. NFL is like crack to many. Must...have...my NFL...fix. I could care less if they miss my few measly dollars or not. The culture war is ramping up take your bloody sides. It begins in just the way you have done. You have chosen wisely to stick it to that entity which has morphed into an SJW tool.

The last I think I can remember having cable, was around 1990.. and that was with HBO.

I haven’t used a TV since around then.. with the exception of turning my last TV on after the 2011 earthquake here.

I get what I need on the PC ;^)

Wise choice.
The NFL leadership won’t let go of their precious BLM kneeling until their bottom line is very injured.
