When I was in high school there was a deputy sheriff nicknamed Pretty Boy. He drove a 1957 Ford with a police Intercepter police engine. Pretty Boy was known to race against hot-rodders by telling them he’d let them out of a speeding ticket they were about to get if they could beat him racing.

To my knowledge, nobody ever beat Pretty Boy.

Judge Harry Sauce of the circuit court in Hamilton county Indiana used to race us on SR37 traffic light to traffic light. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Sauce Cops would be doing speed enforcement but I never even got pulled over if I was racing the judge.
