Picture shows an aircraft shape pretty intact for a plunge from any altitude. If that’s really it, more like a controlled belly water landing and should have been some survivors before it sank. A nose down entry at any speed would have ripped wings off you would think.

Seriously doubt it would keep its shape, and there’s no way you can detect bullet holes at GE resolution. Worth sending a dive crew, but there’s a 99% chance he’s full of it.

Round Island is 22 miles North and a bit East of Mauritius. The object is 10 miles south of Round Island. It’s in between the two islands and shouldn’t be hard to locate by locals.
Of course, no coordinates given.
